Our ball screen coverage is atrocious. In the second half against Bradley, all they had to do was set 3+ perimeter screens and it would break us down for a wide-open shot. If we're going to play small with JD at the 5, we might have to just start switching all screens. We can't seem to rotate/recover efficiently. Also, our transition defense is really, really bad. It's another sign that our communication on the defensive end is still lacking.

I think individually we can actually defend on the ball fairly well, but our team defense leaves a lot to be desired. A lot.

Yep, I agree with this approach when going small. I'd also rather take my chances doing this and then possibly getting burned at the rim versus not and then leading to wide open 3s. In addition to those with Montgomery getting several open 3s, they also did that little high screen action at the top of the key for #5 and he then slipped and was like completely unguarded for a couple layups.

This should be an interesting game.

They’ve won two in a row, but it has been against Missouri State and Southern Illinois (both of whom will battle for last place in the league). State has lost two in a row, but it has been at Ohio State and against the team everyone picked two win the conference.

If (and it’s a decent sized IF) we play up to par we should win this game. Evansville is not overly athletic and not a great scoring team. But if we shoot the ball like we did in the first half against Bradley we could be in for a loss.

This is a game Harding has to find some points. It should be a better matchup for him than Ohio State or Bradley. Need to stop Haffner and Comer in the backcourt.

The X factor is how do the guys respond to the tough loss last night. Do they put it behind them and take care of business? Or do they dwell on it and let it lead to another loss?
I would rather see Harding on the bench

It's the day before game day and I have to wonder...

Is Evansville the perfect opponent for us following the Ohio State and Bradley games?
Is Evansville really as bad as we think they are?
Has Evansville turned a corner with their back-to-back conference wins?
Can we hold them to the 28% they're shooting at the 3pt line?
Will they shoot worse than the 67% they're shooting at the free throw line?
Can we score more than the 70.4 points that their opponents are averaging against them?
Were the 98 points they scored vs Green Bay an anomaly or can they do it again?
Will Harding turn it around and be effective on offense?
Will JD play more than the 18.5 minutes that he's averaging?
Will Vorst see the court?
Can we try to get Jayan Walker more minutes?
Can we please have fewer than 15 turnovers in this one?
How good of a showing will the ISU faithful make at the Ford Center?

An Evansville hotel said many cancellations. Hope Sundays forecasted weather doesn't hurt Sycamore Nations turnout, too much.
