Well, it looks like it will happen. I cannot argue about the money being lost. I’m not sure if it’s fair to throw in all the women’s scholarships we have to include in football losses, but so be it.In any event, the whole tit-for-tat about attendance does not fucking matter. It's about allocating your limited resources that best benefits your athletics programs and University for the long term viability of both.
I'm hearing funding is already dropping for football and Mallory has been told he needs to raise more funds. For those that want football to stick around, if you aren't opening up your wallets, you are a problem. You need to call the SAF and start making targeted donations to the football program.
I’m puzzled why all FCS teams keep football when they are losing money like they do. Some reason why they keep it going.
For me, I enjoy getting out of the grind of Big City life, and chilling in The Haute. I cannot think of a reason to go back if it wasn’t for Homecoming. I’ve been to Arch Madness a couple of times, but my money is not buying anything related to ISU or Terre Haute.
So, I’m throwing up The White Flag on this debate, and keep supporting the team as long as they are playing.
