I agree. This guy attacks me all the time using very vulgar name calling. He picks a fight with just about everyone on this board, even when you’re not talking to him. He needs to go.
Pick a fight with everyone?
Everyone (including me) needs to remember how much context is lost in email/blogs/postings versus face-to-face or "old fashioned phone calls"
So, BobbyK... you chose to refer yourself as a previous donor, ergo implying you no longer donate... I asked if you do, or did... and stressed that if a supporter as ardent as you are no longer CHOSE to donate, than why be that hardcore in your support. And you replied with an answer and closed with "Piss Off"
As I said in an earlier post; you seem to be hostile to people not agreeing with you. So be it - I ask a lot of questions; partly out of curiosity; partly because context is lost in this forum. Now maybe you're the type of person who hates having a question being asked -- had a coworker like that, she viewed any question as a challenge to her. Maybe you're that way, I"ve no idea.
I've been very open on this forum since I began, I give more $$ to the academic side than the athletic side - I always will. I will never send a penny to the current, future NiL group/organization. I've been a Varsity Club member for ~20 years -- I've missed a few years and because I give at such a low rate, I don't "rate" access to the swanky events and I'm ok with that setup.
I'm probably wrong and I'm sure someone will point it out BUT I'm not the first person to "call names" "use bad words" etc on this forum. Be certain, if I'm called a name, I doubt I'll ignore it -- I think that makes me like ~90% of the people on this forum.
I'll also admit I'm an ISU Graduate "Snob" -- i.e., a person's opinion is more valued to me IF they have an ISU degree, not spent a semester (or less) attending classes OR never set foot on campus other than a football or basketball game. You'll likely NEVER see me use the pronouns "we or us" when discussing ISU Athletics -- why? I wasn't an intercollegiate athlete for the Trees. We have some on this forum; I've no problem if/when they choose to use "we" or "us" but for the rest, I'll roll my eyes at the comments. As an example, I've worked with fans of an American football based in the texas "metroplex" area -- I hear those fans say we - a LOT. And if I know them well, I'll give them sh*t about it and they give me sh*t about stuff as well.
