Spark owes the refs a gift basket with some of his NIL money for sure. Dude walks every time.
The pull the chair travel (no cal) towards the end of the game was wild, especially after the foul discrepancy. Says a lot about the resilience of the guys today.

Lewis has been there what 3 years? We just walked into Muncie without 2 of our 3 returning players, coming off a bad home loss (with effort issues from a leader), freshman getting some run that didn’t get their name called in the last game, and all that ref crap…we expect some of the sloppy play (too many travels for D1), but the effort and will to hold a lead in tough circumstances is impressive.

Doughty was a much needed steady presence today.
Wagner went on an offensive tear that propelled us down the stretch.
JD really had a good stretch after some adversity at both ends.
Teel, man oh man was that a passing clinic today.

Thinking Coach got his "chess pieces" spaced lots better & used lots of different pieces to get it done today even being two semi-regulars down from the start & the officials removing two more on fouls & hampering the defense of three more with 4 fouls each. For sure out-coached Lewis today.

Unfortunately for Lewis, he's lost his top leading scorers in back-to-back years. Not making excuses for him, but thinking he then paid for Hart and he isn't ready, all it takes is a couple misses in the portal recruiting and you're on the fast track to being bad.

I just don’t understand how resoundingly better we got across the board specifically thought the rebounding, free throw shooting and taking care of the ball all got better.

Play like that and we can compete in the Valley.

I think there was a couple of "light bulb" moments for multiple people.

Our best looking offense happened late in the first half when we went small. I think that was noticed.

Teel didn't try to do everything himself. He got everyone involved which in turn made him a lot better and Graves did the ole' Schertz substitution pattern of just leaving him in the whole second half. I agree with that 100%

While cook has a ton of work on the defensive end on offense he drove the ball which is his strength. He wasn't hovering around the arc catching and shooting.

While JD had some lackluster moments. He caught fire with a high post pick n roll action with Teel and company. HCMG noticed and specifically went to it a few times for easy buckets making JD valuable playing to his strength.

Wags was just on fire. I've honestly never seen a kid that can catch a ball at his forehead and just flick his wrist from there.

I do think Harding is a bit of a square peg in a round hole. But the dude has a good motor. He got a few big offensive rebounds or kept the ball alive which is enormous in a 10 point game.

Alocen is solid for a freshman.

And Doughty did a good job of just making plays and hitting shots when it was needed. I really like Doughty as a starter, don't think he is going to be a 10 PPG guy. But I think he can be solid across the board and hit shots in spots to relieve some pressure from the scorers.
