I don’t know if this belongs here or somewhere else but… with St. Bernard having no desire to take a shot wouldn’t it make sense to run some kind of action for him to get a bucket or two at the rim? I like him and his presence on the court but it seems he can only dunk or take shots close to the rim. I’d like to see them get some lobs called for him or possibly get him to cut every once in a while. I believe they were running a lot of “5 out” and he was dead weight in the corner for several offensive possessions.

I know he cleans up the glass and is probably good for a tip in or two. I just think it’s going to be a 4 on 5 situation in the future if coach doesn’t get him involved in offensive sets.
He will be limited this year and next years' FR class will push him back further.

That’s not how our offense is designed. The problem is we aren’t shooting well along with we aren’t cutting well either. Shooting better will open the lane up for him. It’s read and react system. The other issue is at times the bigs run into each other as well. So that’s a spacing issue. If those get cleaned up he will get more opportunities. With him not shooting he is just going to be limited.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State men's basketball is set to host in-state rival Ball State on Saturday night, inside Hulman Center.

Limited in what sense? If you mean playing time... I wouldn't get ahead of yourself.

Vorst looks to be out a couple weeks with an ankle - Vorst isn't a guy who has exactly stayed healthy during his time here.

You also had one of the most brutal performances of recent memory from Harding in the last game. So brutal that they subbed out Harding in a close game and went with the much less experienced Enel - from a staff that has overly valued experience.

While Enel is limited offensively other than dunk ability he literally has tools that Harding doesn’t have like rebounding, good defender and physical. I don’t think it’s fair to say he will be limited or pushed back based on what we’ve seen thus far.

Let me also add that a guy like Enel could excel around the rim in the fast break and this team hasn’t been particularly impressive in fast break execution. You really need to be able to force turnovers and get Enel on a runout - the problem is he’s not spending a ton of time on the perimeter so runouts are going to be few and far between.

He’s a work in progress but they knew that when they brought him here.

I agree with all of that. My statement is based on him having some competition. Injuries change everything. And there is no question Harding has been less than satisfactory. Going to be tough to go with a 6'6" center.
