It just makes me wonder how this game would have turned out had we had Bell throughout??!!

This leaves no doubt where our offense is without Bell coupled with poor FG/PAT game.

With Bell out of the game, it makes us one dimensional and easier for them to stop us, which they did. I don't know why we went away from Lough carrying the ball. He did pretty well, and that fumble by Cheesborough was costly. We can't have that in tight and tough games. Cheesborough is nowhere near the level of a running back that Shakir is on.
I'm sure he intend on hurting him? Really? Come on with all that? It's football, people get hurt. He shouldn't have led with his helmet, but he's just trying to make a play just like Bell - stuff happens, let it go.
Bell being out didn't cost the Sycamores the game. What did is 2 INT (1 that mattered), a fumble, 2 missed FG and an extra point - that's what cost you the damn football game. Now I'm not jumping off a cliff here or anything like that the Sycamores fought hard and they hung around. UNI is a good team, I will be honest though - I thought the Sycamores were the better team on the field tonight even though the score didn't indicate that.
I'll bet you anything you want to wager that the guy that delivered that hit is getting high fives all around in the locker room. Yeah, it's football and the nature of football affords the opportunity to deliver a hit like that on purpose.

You honesty can take a step bak from your Sycamore fandom and you still think that's the case?? If so that's messed up, I'm sorry its just a game I'm going to give the kid a benefit of the doubt. I have a hard time with the fact thet are high fiving him for taking out the best player. Who want's to win that way?? UNI is a classier football program than that, I'm not ever going to buy that it was on purpose.
That's fine and I respect your opinion. However, I didn't emphatically say it was on purpose, only that he was likely getting high fives for his hit. I didn't see the game, but I believe some have posted it was a cheap shot.
I don't think he meant to hurt him. He saw Bell was going down and saw it as a good opportunity to lower his shoulder and land a big hit. And then he literally added insult to injury and taunted him. He did receive the flag for that, though.
Fair enough any helmet to helmet hit is a cheap shot. I'm saying like you got a guy running at you whos on pace to run for 300 yards I think in the heat of the game he's more likely trying to make a play
Saw the hit and I don't buy the "it's Just football" excuse...dirty play.

From my point of view thats what it looked like...granted my mother is the greatest predictor of play-calls int he history of mankind (IMO)...we were watching the Pats Jets playoff game and she successfully predicted 18 consecutive plays A la run over right tackle. Sometimes, the person who knows the game the most is probably over thinking things
It's cool you've played the game I haven't if you insist that it was on purpose an dirty then I will take your word for it. I've got better things to do than argue about it and if that is indeed the case it's sad.
It could be dirty or just poorly thought out. I don't think the kid should be brought up on charges, I am sure his coaches will be like, "layoff there, don't need a penalty."
