This really isn't about her anymore, the problem moving forward is - the BOT is absolutely complicit at this point.

Don't have a Trib sub. Cliff notes?

As for the BOT, totally agree. The gaslighting one particular trustee has been doing on Twitter is impressive or he's just totally clueless.

I don't have a subscription either for obvious reasons but from what I can gather, ISU was unable to enroll a cohort of 30 new students last month in the Physician Assistant Program because the program has been put on probation.

are there any other sources on this topic? the trib-star platform as long been a debacle. I've been willing and tried to buy just the article for $0.99 to no avail.

I don't have anything else on the topic other than what I just shared. I mean they didn't get put on probation for doing a good job. 🤣

New enrollment numbers are out and they're down just a tick compared to last spring. Only 5007 full-time undergrads and by now I'm guessing it's under 5000 given the law of averages and attrition. I firmly believe there is a correlation between national basketball exposure and enrollment/donation increases so if ISU makes March Madness and wins a game or two Fall 2024 numbers SHOULD go up on that basis alone I would think. They just can't get much lower....

and once that happens we all know damn well who is going to get an article in the tribstar and indystar about "how exceptionally hard we have all worked over the past 5 years to increase enrollment."

that's at the crux of the issue; was it placed on probation for willful dereliction? Poor, unintended actions? OR because some administrator did NOT file the accreditation paperwork by the timeline.

different standards but let's surmise SSoM has had their CDL suspended... was it because SSoM didn't comply with all of the rules, regulations WILFULLY? Or because you were hauling that overloaded trailer of Coors from Colo to Georgia and an ice storm prevented you from filing all of the necessary paperwork...

This is the URL of the group that placed ISU on probation:

Sitting in the lobby at the dealership and saw that college financial aid applications were down 57% this year on the news. Many schools are extending their admissions because of it.

Newspaper article said it was because of shortage of faculty.

The government is way behind on releasing some of their "New Aid Year" regulations - and the software companies are having to scramble and adjust their release schedules because of it.... THEN the schools have to get those changes in place, test, alter processing and go live... it's a mess this year...

Welp… MoState just named Biff Williams President - so take his name off the list. Man that was a miss for Indiana State.
What a damn shame.....never can seem to get out of our own way. I will continue to hope for a solid hire, but doubtful we will find someone who would have been slam dunk like Biff. I will be glad to be proven wrong, though.

Once I heard his name I was immediately intrigued.

Then I read up on his career post Indiana State and was even more impressed.

Then I saw he was a finalist for MoState and New Mexico State.

If they ran it like a business - I’d have ended the search process, interviewed him and just named him President. It would already be done.

Might be a way to do it but universities aren't businesses; certainly not for profit, privately-held companies...

what is the current timeline on the next ISU president?

They’re conducting interviews at the airport. Supposed to have a President named by the end of April I think is the intent.
