WANTED: Passionate Sycamore Fanatics. That You?

Register NOW to join our community of die-hard Sycamore fans.

It is amazing how you can boatrace someone in the first half take your foot off the pedal and suddenly we are some sort of "joke" of an opponent.

IGNORE THEM! Why do you folks think we started LetsGoGuins.com? Many of those fans hate the new coach and are still in love with our old coaching staff... Why?! God only knows cause they were awful.

As I said before, mvred on our forums, predicted you guys to finish 2nd in the MVFC this year. We don't think of you guys as a joke. We respect you and everything you've accomplished in recent years.

That sect of YSU fans are narrow-sighted and not giving our new staff a chance whatsoever.

Our site was hacked last Thursday. All the posts from the past 2 months were lost, including about the ILSU game from a week ago. It stunk cause our traffic was through the roof. Now trying to get everyone back so they don't think we shut down.

Our main page is 100x nicer than that other site. Just go look at each home page lol.... That site is stuck in Tressel times.

some interesting notes about the game after looking at stats.

time of possession was 37:22 for YSU, 22:22 for ISU. ISU's offense was never on the field that long given that Bell would just rattle off a long TD run on one of ISU's first plays from scrimmage. So I wonder if the defense being on the field for longer periods of time wore them down?

ISU's average per rush was 9.3 yards per carry. that's amazing.

they ran 92 plays to ISU's 47

ISU was only 2 of 9 on 3rd down conversions.

interesting game indeed for ISU. Can't say I've ever seen an ISU RB run so freely like that before.

another BIG game on the road next week, gonna have to win on a grass field up in SD.

Memorial Stadium holds 12,764, 6500 would have meant it was about half full. So did it look over half full? I have season tickets but had to give them away because of a company function that day here in Indy. But on a good note I had no problem finding someone to take the tickets.

I couldn't believe the attend number! That was the biggest 6,500 I've ever seen. It couldn't be right

Thank you! That crowd yesterday was bigger, by a good number, than the Butler crowd. So, if the Butler crowd was about 7,000 (and I'd say 7,000 was about the right count for that game), I really thought we had eclipsed the 8,000 mark against YSU. Someone was smokin' something...

I was at the game and it definitely well over 6500. The only end I saw seats was the west endzone, and there were people over there but it was near full. I totally thought there was over 10,000 people there, but not according to ISU.

Perhaps they should go back and double check their math. 6,500 makes us look bad, particularly when we all know it was much higher than that...

Agree that someone truly doesn't know how to do the math. I wonder if they're not counting the students? Something is WAY off.

I don't know if this is the reason or not but myself and three of the people I attended the game with got free tickets through UAP which of course is part of Union Hospital. I think someone noted in the attendance thread Union Hospital gets free tickets. Was there any certain event for those employees for this game and if so could those numbers not be included in the total attendance number?

On the TV here in Youngstown I thought maybe 7,000 in that stands, but that may have been generous. Most HS games locally get what was in the stands yesterday. However it sounded like they were very much in the game.

I thought the attendance was a little smaller than the Butler game. I also thought the crowd was very quiet except for the times the defense shut down YSU and of course the ISU touchdowns. The noise you heard was probably myself and the kids I brought with me. There was a microphone just overhead from the pressbox.

Yea I also wondered if they had counted Union Hospital or Vigo CountyTeachers who all got in free. Cars were parked 360 around the stadium and tons of people were tailgating. I talked with a lot who came because it was free and really enjoyed the game.
