I think it usually means the coach wants to use his own discretion and not announce a definite time. Certainly true that it doesn't have to be all that long, but that might be wishful thinking here. Agree with Jason about these transfers and showing respect.

I do not think that Goodlett has transferred. His grandfather -- who played a large part in raising him -- died a week or so ago and he went home for the funeral and did not play in the scrimmage game. However, he was with the team until that happened. Apart from what I have just written I have no "Inside information."

Caleb Watkins, for those who need to know, was a first team All-Ohio quarterback from Middletown who redshirted as a freshman last year at Bowling Green of the Mid American Conference.

Unfortunately I think Goodlett is gone...good young man w/talent.
 
I am just glad there is accountablity with the team. Football is just a short time in your life - character and attitude lasts your life time. No one is perfect and everyone messes up but if there are no consequences, then there is no change. It has to hurt a bit to get your attention sometimes.

With our tough schedule, I think we need three quarterbacks ready to go. Even before O'Leary decided to transfer positions, it looked like Caleb Watkins, the redshirt freshman transfer from Bowling Green, was No. 3. The other quarterback in the 5-man rotation was Logan Reyher, a preferred walkon from Columbia City, who looks pretty good to me. But so did Watkins, who also adds a running dimension.
 
Ednut is a stud. Can't wait to see him with some big catches. Our two deep looks light with Spencer in trouble and Goodlet gone. Although it doesn't appear that Goodlet was in the most recent two deep.

Demo seemed to look pretty damn good in the scrimmages. I'd venture a guess he really wants some PT.

integrity

good for you coach,to have a football PROGRAM we need and must have integrity if all we want is a football team then lets not have integrity.
 
Good luck to him, but I really don't get deciding to leave the team in late August, right before the season starts. He already transferred once. I hate seeing guys transfer multiple times just to chase playing time, especially at this level, but you do what you have to do, I guess.

That's unfortunate to hear--I hope for the best with his family situation. That's a lot of turmoil for a young man to face, and he seems like a good, level-headed individual. Good luck to him.
