Actually no, I went to VU because ISU denied me because my SAT scores were just a little too low. My GPA was like .2 points from the 2.5 required, I had a 2.3. I am really busting my butt getting good grades, to transfer in to ISU after 2 years here, but it's more like a year and a half now, as fast as this year is going. I am really excited about hopefully becoming a Tree.

I admire you for working hard to improve your situation. Most people would settle for less. Work hard Landaus...work smart and hang out with people that share your drive. Also I'm dead serious the Indiana College Choice 529 Plan is free money for school. As much as 1k per tax return. PM me if you want and I'll tell you how to maximize the program. If other Sycs on here want the same advice let me know and I'll post something.

Upsets aren't upsets if they are expected...I am just going to keep myself tempered here, so win or if it happens...Yeah I am going to go nuts.

Last year at a basketball game, a guy was wearing an IU shirt, and John Sherman tossed an ISU shirt to the him to cover up the red. Loved it!!!

IMO, ISU needs to do more of the blackouts and whiteouts. Those really enthuse the fans and get more people to come out. The blackout game last year was a blast, and I think the football team could also do more things like this.

I think in general "themed" games are good thing to get young people out to the games. It works, in reality people by this thought:
Give girls a reason to get dressed up in some sort of fashion and ok you have the equation figured out...because god knows if you could get a mass gaggle of attractive women at some sort of classical concert when I was in college, I would have been there.

Thanks Tom for the idea! I was thinking of ways to get my wife and daughter out of the house before 6:00 AM for the trip down Saturday. They always talk about how they missed the flash mob with the BlackEyed Peas on the Oprah show in Chicago--maybe I can tell them that they'll be at Memorial Stadium at 9:00??

Just promise them that you will drive them down Wabash Avenue to watch the drunk college kids. That's always fun for the kids to see, mom dad look at that kid lying on the ground with hand cuffs on - wonder what he did wrong?

Hope you can make the trip! Should be a great weekend - those staying over night, don't forget that Indiana State is hosting the Pre Nationals Cross Country race on Sunday this year (to avoid conflict with homecoming). If you've never seen this event come on out - it's a great time!
