Being dropped around these parts on a public forum? I mean at least folks have been cordial enough to not totally spell it out and do something like this #%^, but boy have they been flying left in right in the last couple of days. I mean 95% of them fly toward me and I can handle it - but I just don't understand why people feel the need to express them self in that manor? Please help me understand?

I mean it is such a foul word and it makes folks sound very uneducated, the fact that some thinks it's ok to use the (F) word toward another individual is about the most degrading thing you can do to someone especially on a message board.

It's one thing to be chatting amongst friends and to drop one (still don't think it's cool but I have done it for sure), but it's when people start using in a derogatory manor toward another human being is awful to me...

Thoughts?

Shake it off, Morgan...I once had a record album back in the late 60's by The Lower East Side (NY) Band that FEATURED a song titled, "F is Not a Dirty Word." In essence, the song talked about its multiple use in the English language (noun, pro-noun, adjective, verb, ad-verb, etc.)...actually pretty funny because it's TRUE, at least among the "Quick Draw McGraw" sensationalists.

Quit your #%^ing, Morgan. No, seriously. I'm all for keeping it clean and being respectful to one another. It's also important though for people to respects each others opinions. We don't have any real message board bullies here like I've seen elsewhere, but it's always good to treat others as you would like to be treated, even if it is anonymously.

Stick to track discussions #%$&. You dish it but can't take it when your bia$$ed & singularly opinionated posts about basketball are challenged. Your "knowledge" of basketball can be posted on a pin-head anyway; determined just from reading all of your posts .............like anyone cared to review them all. Your post in every thread is not necessary!

When a trend is recognized... and a target for the trend is recognized... and that target is recognized to be yourself... Some might look inward to find commonality among all of the disparate pieces... others wonder what is wrong with the rest of the world.

Folks, I've mentioned this in other threads, but I'm going to do it again and I want some of you to actually follow through on this so we can quit having discussion continually veer off into personal flaming. I understand that within any community there will be personality conflicts and ours is no exception.

The vBulletin forum software allows you to ignore other forum members. You can find your personal ignore list by click on User CP above in the navigation bar. Once you're in your Control Panel, scroll down and you'll see Settings and Options. The last option within that section is the Edit Ignore List option.

You will then be taken to your ignore list. To add a user to the list, enter their name into the empty text box and click 'Okay'. To remove a user from your ignore list, un-check the box associated with their name and click the 'Save Changes' button.

You can ignore anyone except Administrators -- so you're stuck with me. But you are able to ignore fellow members and moderators, too. When you place someone in your ignore list, his or her posts will not be shown when you view a thread. However, there is one loophole and that is you will possibly see their posts if someone has quoted them in a response. That's minimal though in the grand scheme of things. So get over to your ignore list and put each other on them so we can drop this back and forth bickering. We're trying to build a strong Sycamore community of many trees, not chop people down and run them out of our forest.
