I think we all need to start supporting Graves and give him whatever he needs. But support from faculty, staff and fans is the only way we keep this going. Graves is a great guy and coach, he has a defensive mind and his offense runs around what he has to work with and he adjusts.
 
at least make a phone call to Huggy ? He did wonderful things at Cinncy. Of course his mouth got him in trouble a couple of times, on the radio and drinking. Bottom line he is a proven winner, just look up his record. We need somebody who is going to create some excitement, and keep the program moving forward/
We made the mistake when Larry Bird left and put ISU on the map. 33-1, 16-11,9-18. 9-18, 9-19, 14-14, 14-15, 11-17, 9-20, 7-21, 4-24, 8-20 this is what happened after 1979! Please ISU don't let it happen again

One of the MAIN factors Dave Schellhase was relieved AFTER Hodges was relieved was Schellhase's drinking... he's honest about it, it's ~1/3 of his book (just released)

There's no room in my wallet for $$ support for that "coach"

I'm in the camp of just hire Graves.

He gives us some continuity, preexisting relationships with our players so hopefully a couple two-three guys wouldn't bail, experience as a head-coach, corporate knowledge (yes I said corporate knowledge sorry not sorry if that triggers some of you) of our high scoring offense of the past three years, a guy who loves Indiana and wants to be in Indiana, and (if JMV is correct) Graves wants the job.

The last time we hired our associate head coach, we went to four consecutive post-season tourneys. I'd be fine with that.

I'm afraid if we drag our feet on this, we'll still be without a coach three weeks from now with 12-15 of our guys in the transfer portal.

Thursday - a meeting with some of the larger NIL/CoachFund donors is set to take place. Likely to rally the troop because most of those coach fund donations had an opt out clause if JS wasn’t the coach. So the ask is going to be - can you stay committed to help continue to build upon this success!

A group of younger alumni locally that don’t have the same capacity to give as some of our larger donors that are frequently hit up is organizing to help drive some of these events - a master plan if you will to make a more coordinated effort. The hope with some of these younger alums is that we can donate our time and energy to help make up what our bank accounts can’t really move the needle too much.

So hopefully in the near future we can help get this thing humming - a lot of good conversations are taking place. So your patience is appreciated and if you think you can help in anyway please reach out to me.

Gentlemen, I think you all need to be prepared for the entire roster to enter the transfer portal regardless of who is named our head coach. It doesn't mean they'll all leave but prepare yourselves for the gauntlet that's forthcoming.
