They should all hit the portal - it makes sense for them to! So yes be prepared for it. Understand the chance to get any of the starting 5 back will be little to none. Also understand that just because the bench enters doesn’t mean they aren’t still in play - everyone should look out for themselves in this situation the best way to do that is enter the portal.

Just as long as they're aware this does not mean they can get their spot back.

When 60% of guys end up without another scholarship, it may be a better idea to know you've got a spot somewhere before you do.

Assume the next coach especially if it’s not Graves wants any of them… if you don’t enter, and then the next Coach gets here and decides not to retain you then have you set yourself back? A lot to consider…

Generally, my point is to fans, don’t freak out when you see these guys all in the portal. It’s pretty much anticipated.
 
the only thing about Graves when he was at South Alabama, he had 5 losing season in a row, total record 65-96,
Its nice he is an Indiana guy, and yes we continue with some culture, but I just question his record as a head coach. Still Huggins is my man, give him a second chance!!!

That's true. The other sticky thing here is can Graves/Furr accept commitments right now? They're obviously recruiting but if Graves isn't retained and the guy came in behind him and didn't want to honor any commitments, that would be a very bad look.

I can get his number it’s not hard. I will tell you all what - I will call Angie Lansing the first thing tomorrow and see if she has any interest - she will likely not answer my call at which point I will text her.

If she’s interested I will get her the contact information and she can do her job. Me calling him would be pointless be like a prank call. But that’s what I will do.

We need some excitement, to keep the donors and the fan base excited.
You saw what happened in the Hulman Center, capacity crowds, and then at Hinkle, turning into a home crowd, 18,000 strong came for ISU.
Don't make the same mistake when Larry Bird left, and the program went down, down, down!
Lets keep the momentum, fill the Hulman Center, people around town talking about ISU basketball, make it EXCITING!!

Not to mention we need somebody that can navigate the current NIL/portal era we're in. You know who's not the right choice for that....a 70 year old that's several years out of coaching all together
