This young fellow may end up being a heck of a player but the Sycamores did not need another point guard at this time, especially if he was good enough to play now. We already have one like that, and a damned good one I might add, for the next three years.

Your constant comments about the Sycamores failure to heavily recruit him get old......go back & read your posts over and over and maybe you can see what I mean?

Enjoy the Shocker board and if you can't get logged in over there, send me a private message and I will give you my login.

your cousin's stock is about to go way up from his summer run Kevin.....he's a 3 star point right now which will go up, he's the number 24 pg on scout.com which will also go up....by the end of his senior year at auburn (my old high school class of 2005) he may be described as the number 1 pg in the 2012 class

Actually I haven't complained about them not recruiting him for a long time. I posted updates on here because it seemed like people on here had an interest in how he was doing and where he was going because it looked like he was going to be playing against us in the MVC, hence I kept providing the information. If you don't like it, then why did you continue reading the thread?

If anyone is interested who has been following this thread, Fred has his AAU team playing in the championship game today in the Super Showcase down in Orlando. The game will be shown on ESPNU. They play at 5 pm eastern but not sure if it's shown live or how it's going to work.

I will make sure to watch!

Gotta apologize I got bad info...their game was on ESPN3...oh well...he still led them to the championship with 15 pts 9 asts and 7 rebs

Shocker recruit Fred Van Vleet has been having another outstanding year averaging 20 pts 7 asts 6 rebs and 5 steals per game. All while leading an undersized team to a season where they took 3rd in the toughest holiday tournament in the state and won the MLK classic here in the ROckford area beating the #4 team in the state. He's really filling stat lines and I can't wait to see him play against Jake Odum. They have fairly similar games but I think Fred plays with more control while Jake is much taller and quicker. Should be interesting

Wish we'd have gone after him...

Go to the Shocker board and quit putting this trash on here.

Geez, ease up. This gentleman is an ISU alum and Fred is his relative. He tried to get ISU to go after him, without much success it seems, and now we're going to have to watch him for four years as a Shocker.

I don't mind this at all.

Who cares? Why is this even on here? Not trying to be rude, but seriously? Why is this even on here? I don't really care how a WSU, MSU, Evansville, Bradley, Creighton, Ill. State, Southern Ill, No. Iowa or Drake recruit does in any game this season, next season or the season after that. I am sure that there are plenty of Wichita State fans on a message board somewhere that would be more than happy to hear about this.

Guys a sycamore graduate talking about his nephew...I see no problem with it..

If I had a son or daughter going to IU to play, which I did, I wouldn't say anything on here about it.

And that is your choice but we don't judge people by what we would do and what not. He isn't insulting anyone by any stretch of the imagination it's just that after a few losses our fanbase is a little agitated.

No, I have no complaint about the guy. I like him and his posts. it's just that we do not want to hear about WSU recruits. I may have sounded harsh. Sorry. But just stating how I feel.
