He gone...

While I don't think he is coming here, I hope he goes elsewhere. I don't see Purdue as a good fit for him, especially if he wants a lot of playing time. Since he'd likely be a PG in the B10, he would be a freshman behind JR Ronnie Johnson and SO Bryson Scott. There is quite the line at the SG spot, too.

Quite likely he could end up having to transfer in a year or two like so many other kids who jump at a Big 10 offer. Confidence is a good thing, but plenty of guys are confident and think they'll be that much better than everyone else, but they can't all be the starter.

I heard something from a person that I trust that Butler is going to be strong if/when they offer upon returning from Australia. I was told this second hand so I can't really give any details but apparently his family and Brandon Miller's family go back quite a long time. Of course, Brandon Miller is also from New Castle.

I suppose we'll see. If they don't offer him within a few days of returning, I doubt they will. But, the info came from a source that's been about as good of one as these things go.

Didn't you guys just offer Riley LaChance on July 27th?

Make no mistake, I think it sounds like BS. If they are interested, and once more, they knew that they'd likely get him, it doesn't make sense to not offer. I was just relaying what I heard. Regardless, they only have one more game in Australia then will be returning so I guess an answer will be coming either way, shortly.

Committed to Northwestern. Best of luck because he is going to need it there in the big ten. Their crowning achievement is making the NIT a few times. Oh well kids will be kids. On to the next one!

Well, evidently for Bryant winning and making the Big Dance does not mean much. Give him a year or two, and as he watches from the bench he will start to understand he made a mistake. I like the kid...but .....

If nothing else, he's chosen a conference with some great competition. He just might lead them to their first ever NCAA berth, at some point in his college career.

Lets see here Northwestern Education >>>>>> Indiana State Education and it isn't even close.

I wish him the best. He left ISU for Northwestern--not a bad move. Had he gone to an other mid-major or a program with questionable ethics I would be very concerned. It's a shame he left, but who could object to this more?
