7. Bryant McIntosh: 6’3” Point Guard, Greensburg H.S.

Great mid-range shooter and can also create for himself going to the rim with a nice array of moves. Bryant is a good decision maker, makes some nice passes and finds open teammates. He has a floater that he likes to use when attacking the basket off the dribble that seems to go in every time. Sneaky athletic and quick too. Good length which allows him to disrupt some passes on the defensive end. Still want to see him become a more consistent 3-point shooter, but he continues to improve that facet of his game.

The staff made Bryant a priority since last Summer. I'm glad that he decided to say in state and he is likely going to continue to land offers so the staff will have to keep recruiting him hard to keep him.

Hopefully he can get in the ear of AAU teammate Sam Logwood to join him.

“That’s probably the No. 1 factor,” Keeton said. “He told me five or so reasons last night and that was a big one. I think also staying close to home and having a chance to play right away was important to Bryant. His best years are ahead of him.”"

I think this is a huge get for us. Could be a good replacement for Odum (If there is such a thing!). A backcourt of Scott and McIntosh could be special. Jason, how many scholarships will we have available for 2014?
 
I almost NEVER talk about hoop prospects because I do not feel qualified to speak about their individual talents, size, etc and this player appears to be a great addition to the Sycamore family. In reading this "Class of 2014" piece, I was pleased to see Indiana State's name in many individual's interest box. I have always felt that Coach Greg has the m.o. of a really good head coach. He is outgoing, personable, has that "honest" look (someone will poke fun of me for that probably but let's face it, does Calipari and Pitino have it?), and without sounding like I have a man-crush, he looks good. I always liked Kevin McK, but his Dagwood Bumstead look and style always made me think he didn't identify with today's players and that his career needed to be as an ASSISTANT coach.

Greg obviously is mixing it up with the big guys. I love that in him. My guess is we might pick up another one or two from that list and how great will that be if he can accomplish it? Nice job, coach. Keep it up. Since I have been a fan of Coach since he was first here a decade ago, I might sound a little biased, but the decision to hire him as a HC is right up there with the coach Miles and Ron P. should be credited with making those big decisions COUNT~

If you want an "honest look," hire JOEL OSTEEN. There's more to the "fruit" than just the outside peel...I still feel that K-Mac had a much deeper understanding of the game, and also enjoyed his 6'8" brother (Lil Eddie) posting on Syc Pride. In fact, despite NEVER having personally met either Kevin or Eddie, while up in the Portland, OR area last year, Eddie contacted K-Mac on my behalf and secured some free tickets for me to one of the Ducks games. That's loyalty...beyond the call of duty. Let's also not forget Megan...what a hoop electro-media genius!

Although I only met Megan once, she is still on my Facebook world and I enjoy keeping up with her antics. I agree with his knowledge for sure, but his personality was not meant to be a head coach, IMO. I am sure he is VERY good at Oregon at what he does.

p.s. I am not too sure I would trust Joel Osteen either.

I really enjoyed having the McKenna clan around. Not thrilled with the way he left, but never had a beef with any of them. Got to meet Dave (Little Eddie) a time or two - great guy. KMac is the guy who pulled the program up from the swamp. Megan, well,we all know how good Megan was...

One thing I loved about KMac's style was watching the defense switch up a couple of times on the same possession! Loved that. But I'm also very happy with our coach right now. We're going to be reading Greg's name in a Big Six conference one of these days...
 
When asked about his decision, Bryant said that the primary reason for his commitment was the relationship he had built with Coach Lansing at ISU. He went on to talk about his future teammates, saying, “The players they have there are good guys and good teammates.” He also mentioned the proximity to home and the business school as factors in his decision.
