UPDATED

Nov 4th vs Rose-Hulman (exhibition)
Nov 10th @North Dakota State
Nov 13th @Purdue
Nov 23rd - 25th Gulf Coast Showcase - 3 Games
Dec 2nd @ Dayton
Dec 9th vs Wyoming
Dec 19th vs Ball State
Dec 22nd vs SEMO

On the gosycamores.com website, the Rose-Hulman exhibition game is showing as canceled. However, it's not showing as canceled on the Rose Hulman athletics site.

Also, the Dayton game is not showing on our schedule yet. Sooooo....there's that.

Gulf Coast Showcase website still hasn't updated with confirmed teams either.

There have been some rumblings that non-conference schedules may get cancelled and they're looking into bubbles for conferences. I don't know how that works but I do not envy people trying to figure this shit out at all.

Heard this on local sports radio here in Vegas as I guess the Mountain West has contacted a casino about booking it and their court.

MEN's college basketball was the only thing I was looking forward to in organized athletics, since pro sports has been forever ruined. What does looking into bubbles for conferences mean?

Essentially the same thing the NBA and NHL are doing. I would assume all of the teams in the conference would come into whatever city and play whatever sort of schedule they end up coming up with. Here in Vegas, we have 3 different facilities that regularly host basketball and quite a few more that could be setup to do so. The big ones are:

Thomas & Mack Center - Where UNLV plays.
MGM Grand Arena - Where Team USA, Summer League play happens.
Orleans Arena - Where the LV Invitational MTE happens -- the one we played in a few years back.

Then many of the conference centers can be configured for hoops. The Cashman Center is where Adidas always held the Top 64 and Summer AAU championships. I would think the logistics for doing college basketball are much easier because rosters, support staff, and equipment demands are much lower. Not sure if they want kids living in a foreign area for a month plus though unless they condense it.

We finally get Hulman Center renovated, should have a decent team and we probably won't end up having home games. I'm so sick of Covid.

When do tickets go on sale? I was going to buy an upper bowl season ticket just so I can get in the door if there is a season and they're not even available yet. I can't go to many games, but I'd like to be able to see us in person if its reduced to 25% capacity.

I really hope the Gulf Coast Showcase doesn't get cancelled. This is the first MTE where I've felt we've got a legit shot to win the whole enchilada.

I would laugh if the global pandemic wasn't such a serious subject, that...the NCAA thinks delaying the season by 12 days will make any kind of impact on the public health of the student athletes, coaches, staff, and general population.

With that said, from a selfish point of view, I'm glad there will be games available on tv/streamed that will entertain me while I watch from the relative safety of my couch.

Only thing that makes sense is they wanted to give them some additional time for logistics.

We’re now not playing against Purdue? I wonder what changed there.

My guess is we'd have had to play them when we were in the MTE. I saw an article on ESPN about Louisville trying to create a bubble for local programs to play a non-con slate.

Yeah makes sense. I didn’t realize when I made my last post that the Purdue game was scheduled before 11/25. I suppose there just wasn’t another date available.
