You Bucko are the one with the statistics slant of a cherry picker and have severe symptoms of an idiot and willingly admit mediocrity is great. Take a good look in the mirror!

Hey Fucko,

I've used the entire breadth of Lansing's NCAA Div I HC career.

I've included Div II wins MUCH to the ire of some.
I've included the non-winning seasons with the winning seasons.
If I've overlooked the blowout losses it's because you and your fellow pisser/moaners overlook the blowout wins

Accept the fact that he's going to coach the 2020-21 season UNLESS you and your hate-filled sisterhood donate enough to buy out his contract and fund the next coaching search.

When the time comes, let’s hope we get someone who is familiar with every corner of the state of Indiana and has some name recognition.

Nobody with that cachet would come here in their right mind.

Terrible salary. Terrible program funding. Terrible fan support. Lack of AD support*. Lack of Administration support. Average facilities when Hulman Center is done. Below average athlete support compared to Valley peers. This is one of the bottom two jobs in the Valley with Evansville being the other.

* If someone wants to argue he is only treating Lansing bad, the precedent is still set. Make a misstep and he turns his back on you.

Okay, lets play a hypothetical.

Lansing was just fired. Give me your Top 3 names you offer the job to right NOW.

Lansing is good coach...I am glad he is winning ( ISU never had a winning season when I was there, 2003-2007)

I'll play along with you...

Here are three names to throw at you
Rodney Watson (USI)- Promotion to D 1
Tom Ostrom (IU)- 1st time head coach
Brandon Brantley (Purdue)- 1st time head coach and Purdue assistants tend to take jobs at the mid majors

Purdue and IU assistant coaches might consider looking at us, for the fact ISU could be a good stepping stone job. IU and Purdue recruit Indiana and the surrounding areas really good...look at the roster

That list illustrates the point. While I'm sure they're fine candidates, those guys shouldn't be Top 20 for this position. The Valley, even with a down year, finished as the 11th rated conference again and we finished 3rd in that conference. This should be considered a prime mid-major job.

And should be FUNDED like a prime mid-major program.

BTW if we went the Purdue route my money would be on Shrewsberry for a lot of reasons that don’t need discussed because Lansing is our coach and I like it that way.

Curt Mallory came here and righted the ship.
I think it could happen in basketball too. At least I hope so. Don’t you?

He's righted the ship? He is trending to being the Greg Lansing of football but with funding at this point, no? 12-22 overall and 8-16 in conference play after 3 years. Curt Mallory also came in with a commitment to football from the University/AD and has the 3rd highest funding in the MVFC. In any event, if I'm someone with a name, I'm not accepting the Indiana State job without the following:

1) A PUBLIC commitment to the basketball program from Dr. Curtis and Clink.
2) Whatever creature comforts that are missing for my players so they feel like they're taken care of, will help with recruiting, etc.
3) At least the league average head coaching salary with significant incentives for 20 win seasons, MVC titles, NCAA/NIT appearances, etc.
4) At least the league average assistant coaching salary pool.
5) Increased program funding so we can buy home games like our Valley and MM peers, can recruit without worry, etc.

Without it, I'd say thanks but no thanks.

I'd say your name is the only name I've heard rumored for two plus years now.

As I have said, if he is still here next season it is because he can't get another job. Do you understand that "Fucko"?

He left the Celtics for some reason....probably because he wants to be a D-1 coach. Clink and Painter are friends. Micah has a degree from ISU. Good resume being under Stevens at Butler and Boston. Northside Indy catholic school background just like Clink. His dad is a major player in Indiana politics. It just makes sense. But if Lansing can keep winning it won’t matter I would hope.

he's under contract fuckstick; how many times have you left your fry gig at burger chef for the burger bitch at sonic? were you still dropping onion rings when sonic blindly accepted you?

he may have his agent keeping an eye out for a (potential) next gig OR he may not - I'm not worried about him leaving

IF he leaves early, whomever replaces him has to win 19+ games overall & 11+ conference games OR the program has regressed, it's that simple.

despite your hatred of Lansing, he bettered McKenna's final year by 3 wins overall and 3 conf wins

and I don't see the next coach in 2021-22 or later making more than Lansing does at this point

Questions from the idiot corner?

didn't Shrewsberry leave the Celtics to replace Greg Gary on that coaching staff?

Gary just finished his first season at Mercer

Then you better hope there are changes in the way the BOT sees things.
