Broncos were 13-19 this yr; fifth in the MAC West Division. He was 291-262 overall, led Broncos to2 NCAA tournaments, with the recent coming in 2014.

He'd been with the school for 20 yrs overall
Wasn’t he that genius in the wheelchair? Lol

Jobs filling up.

Jeter to WIU is a very good hire. I thought he was a good coach at Milwaukee and got hosed. They haven't won squat since he left. He was essentially their Lansing.

Ole Billy Gillispie got the Tarleton State gig. Anyone want to bet they start winning?

Likely but Gillispie hauls more crap than your local Roto-Rooter franchise

He's just another example of the Royce Waltman axiom... "... a coach can do anything but lose and keep their job..."

You guys know the drill.

Anyone know if Evansville will retain Lickliter? I suppose that with all that is going on, it's safer to keep him for a full season.

He allegedly signed a 3-yr. contract and based on the UE Forum, most are content to see how it plays out for the duration. In fact, the announcement of Deandre William's Transfer Portal seems to further bond Lick's hopes in developing a competitive team, an issue almost impossible w/ the Deandre "circus."

I wonder why they waited so long in the cycle? Something must have happened to force their hands at 15 million. Pat Kelsey (former Skip Prosser Assistant) may get a hard look. But he changed his mind on UMASS a few years ago (he claims there was rampant violations he wasn't told about) at the last minute so that may preclude him.

John Beilein is likely a name that Wake will go after IMO. Should have never gone to the Cavs, he is a college guy through and through.

Lots of rumors they'll pursue but can they afford with the Manning buy-out?; maybe if Manning is willing to accept a LONG-TERM buyout...

Wake doesn't strike me as a place willing to break the bank

I'm not sure his ego, but with him being up there in age, if he is chasing the 1,000 win mark, he likely wouldn't want to lose a year and would possibly take a lower salary. Also, it may be worth it to Wake, especially if Manning was doing something shady. He was always rated one of the cleanest coaches in college basketball.

They certainly aren't spending that ACC money on football, either.

East Tennessee State Coach Forbes to be hired. Supposedly is committed to staying at Wake until the Tennessee job opens up after Barnes retires.
