Toledo's 17 game winning streak comes to an end in the MAC Championship Game. They finish the season 27-7 and will get rewarded with an NIT appearance. Toledo has now won three straight MAC Regular Season Titles and has failed to win the AQ each time. This is the exact reason I don't get excited for the NCAA Tournament anymore. But we all know some loser P5 team(s) that couldn't even get 20 wins with a losing conference record will sneak in.

There are 19 mid&low-major schools (anyone not in the P6) that have 25+ wins against D1 competition this season. Fourteen of those nineteen are guaranteed a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

1) Seven of the Nineteen would not have made it unless they won their tournament (including Drake). To be fair there are a couple that only won 25 games because of their title win, so there's that.

2) Oral Roberts, FAU, and Charleston were all pretty bubbly, but all three of those schools won their league's AQ.

3) VCU could win the Atlantic 10 AQ today, but with a loss they are likely on the outside looking in.

4) Utah State is on the bubble, right now listed as a "Last 4 In".

5) Memphis has likely done enough to get in. They play Houston for the AAC championship today.

6) Gonzaga, St Mary's, Houston, and San Diego State were all in regardless of what happened in their tournaments. Gonzaga defeated SMC in the WCC Title Game, SDSU won the MWC AQ, and Houston could win the AAC AQ today. (Many would argue that Houston and Gonzaga are not really mid majors anymore).

7) Fordham and Toledo have zero chance of making the NCAA Tournament. They're the two that have been completely screwed over (so far). Kent State would be in Toledo's spot had they lost to Toledo last night. Utah State and VCU are on my watch list.

LOL they gave Charleston (31-3) a 12 seed against San Diego State. They've got to knock out a good mid major early like usual.

Purdue got screwed. Have to play either Memphis or Florida Atlantic in the second round.

Memphis should have been higher than an 8. Probably a 6

So this kid leaves the program. Enters the portal. Doesn't get anything. Goes back to the Aces mid-season. Did he even play? But then is back in the portal again first day he can. Good luck with that. Spent more time editing his "announcement" post than in the gym this season
The portal just opened so I think he l might’ve meant that he’s back since last year. I’m kind of guessing. But I assume he was in the portal when they fired lickliter. Now in the portal again even though he technically left the basketball team a while ago. Hope that makes sense.

I think he was just "re-announcing" he is in the portal. I've seen a lot of kids do that since they mid-year transfers have all been in there for months.

YSU hosted Oklahoma State and led most of the game but faltered at the end and lost, sold out crowd there. They hadn't hosted a P5 team since 1993

Yeah that was a bummer. I was hoping the Penguins would pull that one off. I could've swore that YSU hosted Pitt a couple years ago though. I'll have to look into that one.

Found the answer. They hosted West Virginia in 2019, although it maybe could have counted as a neutral site game since it was played at a professional hockey arena in Youngstown, rather than YSU's actual basketball arena.

Yeah, last time they hosted a P5 in their own arena was 1993
