I don't know anything about Ragland but even the greats were first year head coaches at some point. Would he be a good coach for them? Is he ready? What's your take on him despite never being the head guy before?
Somewhat bothered by the "Hometown Boy" logic which undermines his candidacy, although the difference between Ragland/McCarty are like night/day. Everywhere Ragland has been a Div I Assistant, success has followed, although a few minions are maintaining Ragland's alleged "guilt by association" (Asst Coach) in the 2015 Chris Jan's Bowling Green butt slapping incident.

A couple (2) good stories in support of Ragland:

Here's an I-view between MARCUS WILSON (a candidate for UE A.D.) and Ragland:

Most feel that the Wlson/Ragland affinity would bolster the overall impact of the UE program. Wilson is also "tight" w/ multiple other UE coaches/adm (including 14 yr. UE BA Coach WES CARROL).

Yeah, his downfall was having a couple of his big recruits leave or get injured. That backcourt they had with El-Amin/KJ Walton was pretty solid. Gunn never could stay healthy and then left for IUPUI. Think Coleman went to Mizzou. Sure I'm missing some others.
