Pat Forde says they should go after Dusty May and HCJS.

I thought the rumor was the Loosiers NIL was going to pay May to stay in FLA for another year, THEN Woodson is ousted and May takes the Gloomington job... at least that what Sean McManus is contriving

Yeah, some Louisville folks are now following our coach on X. He must have been mentioned for their opening.

Not surprising. It might of been a rumor but I did hear a number that was raised for Schertz next season. The person who I heard from is pretty connected. But it would go a long way in TH and the guy can essentially run the city if he wanted to at this point. Might be tough to walk away from, I can only imagine the amount of stress the Lville job has, not to mentioned the shady characters that seem to constantly be around the cardinals

What is the number?

No way. He's gone.

No way to what? No way, they didn't raise $350k or no way he's leaving no matter how much they raise? Or both?

Before you answer the first part of the question I can give you a breakdown of who donated toward his fund and how much but I'm not going to... Because what would it matter - you think he's gone anyway, good luck with that!

* Side note for those actually interested. The donors can opt out at any point during the 5 years if JS leaves under any circumstances.

It would make ZERO sense for him to leave now... To take what job? You can't just say that you think he's going to leave... At least be able to articulate why you think that? Here let me show you how this works:

1. $750k reasons why he shouldn't' leave. We will start with that.

2. Assuming he has a commitment from all or the majority of his starting 5 - then absolutely no reason to leave. Core + Recruiting Class + his own portal magic this off-season = an even better team next season.

3. In a conference that isn't getting any better... 3 coaching vacancies already, several top players already hitting the portal. MVC is the devil he knows and he knows he can run it back and own this league again next year especially if point #2 is accurate.

4. He's already done the handwork here and has the donor and community support in his own words, "everyone pulling in the same direction". If he walks away now he will have to hit the reset on all that work that he's done here in a short period of time and will be entering a rebuild situation more than likely.

5. He's got a homecourt advantage here for now and into the foreseeable future. Not going to lose many games in the HC with the kind of crowds he's expected to drawl next year. Just has to get the scheduling component right and have a good non-conference and we will be positioned well again this time next year.

Josh does not hate Terre Haute. He does not hate ISU. He's not rubbing his hands together thinking of all the places he can leave to.

He would be smart to run it back next year. The level of job offer he would get then would be raised immensely. Right now, he's looking at total rebuilds. Next year, he could be looking at taking over a program in great shape, where he could legitimately become a HOF coach.

Might he leave? Sure, it could happen. I would bet it does not. Not this year.
