$7 million? I have a hard time believing that. Literally give every kid on your roster 500k or just your top guys 1 million each; i'm not buying it

It's interesting. Between their media rights deal and the new CFP deal they'll take advantage of, it could be advantageous of them to decided to spend on hoops versus football. Between the two, they'll be stealing $60m+ a year.

At that point, might as well go ahead and do the NCAA/NIT split because there's literally no competing with that.

I'm getting close to resigning myself to the fact that is what is coming, especially after seeing how the CFP negotiations are going. Really wish they'd just split football off, but I think we're going to end up with 3 different organizational structures.

I would really keep an eye out for the St. Louis opening. There are some interesting follows of our coaches on X and an interesting follow by Coach Schertz today.

Let's start this bullshit discussion again.

We can if you want. I'm always game knowing we're wasting millions in cash on a sport that is about to move to yet another level of separation.

Tell me about those amazing 1970's when State almost beat Florida in the rain. Tell me about the 70's when we played Ball State and the stands were packed. Give me all that nostalgia that means jack shit in 2024.
