I agree. I don't understand why they stay in the SEC as they are never competitive. The paper here in Nashville treats them like they are a major college sports team.

They are paid very handsomely to be non-competitive in the SEC. If Georgia Tech and Tulane could go back in time and stop themselves from leaving the SEC so they could have the same deal in 2024 they'd do it in a heartbeat.
I'm 100% convinced there's gamesmanship in these tournaments. New Mexico needs a couple wins? Providence need a big win? Mississippi State needs a big win?
