Vanderbilt athletics are a joke outside of baseball. They're a school with serious NIL fundraising problems, they're second tied in their own state in the SEC. They're really the DePaul of the SEC. Anyone who takes that job is going to have serious challenges
Honestly the major bullet we dodged was Belmont not going with HCJS because that probably would have been a more attractive move for him than Indiana State if it was offeredoh I agree 110% with all that but I know I've heard Josh say multiple times how much he loved living in Tennessee. I doubt he would take it either but I think there is a better chance of Vandy than Louisville honestly.

No bullet to dodge. Casey was ALWAYS going to succeed Byrd.Honestly the major bullet we dodged was Belmont not going with HCJS because that probably would have been a more attractive move for him than Indiana State if it was offered
I agree. I don't understand why they stay in the SEC as they are never competitive. The paper here in Nashville treats them like they are a major college sports team. It's because they understand the role of intercollegiate athletics in higher education
They are paid very handsomely to be non-competitive in the SEC. If Georgia Tech and Tulane could go back in time and stop themselves from leaving the SEC so they could have the same deal in 2024 they'd do it in a heartbeat.I agree. I'm 100% convinced there's gamesmanship in these tournaments. New Mexico needs a couple wins? Providence need a big win? Mississippi State needs a big win?Meanwhile... Tenn a complete no-show so far. 4 points 8 mins into the game. Wonderful.

Ain't that a slap in the face
Well there goes any momentum McNeese may have had going into the tournament. The players obviously see the same rumors we do.
$7 million? I have a hard time believing that. Literally give every kid on your roster 500k or just your top guys 1 million each; i'm not buying it
