I am not sure which is more impressive, the video itself or the stadium but that is a beautiful facility. One thing that a new stadium does that isn't always that obvious. Attending an event in a stadium like that becomes an event in itself. Lucas Oil Stadium draws people because it is worth the price of admission just to SEE and BE INSIDE the stadium.

Hopefully someone will get the details of the costs involved with that stadium but my guess is that 3-4 times what we would be able to afford with our stadium but it is certainly fun dreaming about it. All it takes is one multi-millionaire to make it happen. And yes, ISU has several that fit that bill. (and no, I am not talking the Hulman-George family either).

Speaking of the "Luc", anyone else on here think that at least ONE of the IU football games we have in 2012, 2013 and 2014 will likely be played at Lucas Oil? I would almost bet the farm that it happens. I sure hope so. Remember, when the Hoosier Dome was built, the Trees played in there at least FOUR games in the early years after it was built. It's fun dreaming about that too!

Wow, what a great facility. That has to be a tremendous recruiting tool for Alabama State--suites in an FCS stadium? Unreal--they must have some great financial backing.

Maybe Tarvaris Jackson is kicking in a bunch of greenbacks...

Ahhh with that new contract he may be...What conference are they? The only reason I ask is because I do alot of reading up on other FCS schools and I had totally forgotten about Alabama State....

Didn't see this posted previously...Link to fly-over of the Alabama State's proposed new football stadium. Pretty Sweet.

Wow, great recruiting tool. Would love to see the price tag...I like how the call it the "multi-purpose" facility...I'm sure the needed to say multi-purpose to help cost justify the cost. Even with soccer, football, lacrosse, how many events do you think they will be hosting? Would love to have it but hard to justify in my mind-

james madison university is just finishing up on a huge football stadium renovation. and it is very impressive. it is very original, i am extremely jealous of theirs.

If this works, Here's JMU's. It doesn't look to shabby either. IT LOOKS LIKE IT DIDN'T.

Beautiful stadium. Way too big for us, but nice. Playing IU at Lucas would be great, but don't see it happening.

How is it "multi-purpose"?? I don't see any other sports other than football being played in this stadium - maybe a freakin Perl Jam concert or something ala the "multi-purose" tag, maybe someone else can better define "multi-purpose" for me? lol

Anyway - I get back to a discussion that has been had on here some time ago - Indiana State should be building an actual "multi-purpose" facility, one that has a track on the outside of a track. It should be located on campus and it should have the type of seating that we've seen in this video - it would be a great setting for track & field - they could host big time meets and get everything they need out of the stadium. Why does it work? Simple, Football season starts in August and Track season doesn't start until March - the need to use the stadium is at different times of the year and this way it doesn't sit vacant part of the year ala "multi-purose" as I would define it...

With that said this all is probably water on the bridge at this point - glad they are going to build a track and no doubt they are going to build a facility that we will ALL be proud of - it's going to be first class. I just think that they could kill two birds (sorry #33 lovers) with one stone.

DG3, I knew you weren't. I don't throw out rumors too often on here but I have heard a little scuttlebutt about it and feel that it just might happen. It makes a ton of sense if you think about it. I was very involved in those Hoosier Dome games in the 80's and knowing that we drew better than we did in Terre Haute in those games (10,000 or more for at least two of them), BOTH schools stand a chance to improve on what they would draw for the same game in Bloomington.

I will be happy if so...I can throw Indiana State football in my sisters face not only that we will make her Butler Bulldogs look like a JV squad but we play IU in her hometown...Ahhhhhh and maybe win, if Kevin wilson decide to take the UNC job.

The Kevin Wilson rumor has to be just that. I truly think that IU football is headed upward and I felt that way well before the whole Gunner Kiel thing happened this week. And guys, you need not pummel me because I said a good thing about IU. Not everyone hates the place. No doubt who I cheer for when the Trees play them but any other time, I actually root for them. Keep in mind, I am not from Indiana.
