It’s the Mayor or the commissioners or the CVB or the Chamber’s or hell fans and alums job to know the application process and the decision making timing of hosting Regionals and Super Regionals? I think not. 100% of us just dug in and learned this all last week. How can you expect local leadership to reach out to Indiana State ahead of any of this… It doesn’t work that way. These people wear many other hats as is.

Billboards and spending $3m to an Indianapolis-area marketing firm apparently. Nobody is picking a fucking college off a billboard or banner ad that's for sure.

That is where we should be spending money. Unless it has changed, which I highly doubt, Indiana State does not value that role. I've known multiple people over the years that were alumni that went on to recruit elsewhere because it paid more. One of my fraternity brothers wanted to do this way back in the day (@Hooper -- talking Rudy) and he had that John Newton-like quality that when he was talking to you, you felt like you were important and mattered. He ended up recruiting at Wabash for awhile IIRC. Would have killed it for State as he was heavily involved all over campus, knew everyone and could have passionately sold the school to high schoolers and parents.

Get serious! Can you imagine how much better off ISU would be with Daniels than Curtis? She’s in waaaaaay over her head! You missed the point. Dick Lugar and others thought it was a pretty efficient/cost effective method to MERGE the existing IU and Purdue programs in Indianapolis... it...

I cannot state how amazing the Honors College is at Indiana State. It is a shame that literally few in the state know about just how great it is.
