Maybe we'll hit the century mark and be able to play everyone today? Wouldn't that be nice.
This would be a good game to get Vorst, Gray and Alderink some run. All 3 of those guys can help us this year and it would be nice to let them have a good run of minutes to shake off the rust and in MA's case a chance to just get to play significant minutes. Hoping for a chance to work on more defensive concepts, spread out minutes and staying healthy.

Get your workout in, give the fans a few highlight plays, and get out with no injuries. Take this as an opportunity to get everyone some run and gear up for Ohio State and what really matters - the MVC schedule.

This is the best Summers stroke has looked. Arm is arrow straight on his release and good follow through.

Even in a game against an NAIA opponent, Summers still won’t drive the ball with an open lane to the hoop

Who cares if he drives today or not! If he is hitting like he is today, give him a chair and a box a popcorn and let him sit outside the arc. Bad things happen in games like this, less of a chance of an injury setting outside instead of driving in a crowd for a guy like him.

So what happens then in the games he isn’t hitting? Should he sit the entire game? Is he not capable of more on offense other than a spot shooter.

Sorry for wanting more out of the kid. If the kid can do a shot fake, get his defender in the air with a wide open path to the basket but instead shoots a 3, that doesn’t bode well for the future.

The optimal word of my post was TODAY. I don’t care to see somebody push it today and turn an ankle or blow a knee. Nothing good can come from playing the main rotation today which I am frustrated Graves has em in up 30. Play Aderink, Bean and rest of the bench.

Agree with starters taking a seat. Wouldn’t mind seeing Teel on the bench the entire second half.

Even though it’s an opponent that can’t match up with State talent wise, still good to see the team not play down to opponents level

Guys were locked in and for the most part stayed that way in the later part of the half even when the game was getting out of hand.

Just because you should blow an opponent out doesn’t mean you always do (right Doug G?). Glad to see the team come out ready to play and do what they are supposed to do against an inferior opponent.

Pretty good first half. Couple dumb turnovers and couple defensive lapses, but all in all the focus was good and we played mostly disciplined basketball in a game that can be easy to slip into street ball. I want to see Gray, Alderink, Bean, Vorst and Cook the second half. Get those guys some run and don't risk injury to the main rotation in a near 40 point game at half.

Well.....same starters for the 2nd half.....hopefully it's just for the first segment then the bench gets in.
