The one thing that will be great about watching this game tonight is the TV Camera set-up at the Shocker Fieldhouse....(if anyone knows the name of their arena, help a brother out here)

Anyway, their cameras are twice as close to the action as the Hulman Center cameras...so watching is more life like, and not as sterile looking as watching an ISU game on TV or Syc Vision.

I believe someone mentioned changing the camera set-up at the HC to capture this same kind picture for our games in another thread, earlier this year.

Anyway Myles and that big Lurch, Garrett Stutz will look mega-sized on TV tonight...and any high flying acrobatics by Lathan will look 3X's as cool.

Also, its been a while since I watched a Shocker game on TV, but they used to have these large Black and Yellow pinwheel things that the students would twist and make it look like you were entering a small a part of the Twighlight Zone.

The remaining military part of Boeing that is left in Wichita had been in decline since that time - there was hope it fortune might turn around with the Tanker program but that never materialized. . Spirit and Airbus are snatching up most of the engineers that are left at Boeing.

My former bros-in law hired into Cessna in Wichita out of UE in '77, then went to Boeing. In the early 90's he became Chief Investigator for the NTSB and has been a "G-man" ever since. I frequently deliver parts to Boeing Aircraft in Everett, WA...that place is BOOMING with business from all over the World (at least that's what they tell me). Aren't they also the builder of the reusable commercial spacecraft? I thought I saw one out on the lot last time up there.

Speaking 'Vegas, I watched "Ocean's 11" last night on KET. Seeing the '60 "Rat Pack" in action gives greater meaning to 'Vegas now.Those boyz sure liked their whiskey...straight!

One of my faves...Great film! The original too not the one with Clooney (not bad though)...Sinatra, dean martin...
 
Really anxious for this Alabama and Ole Miss game to finish (hopefully with no OT). Really have no interest in SEC basketball.

I could see it coming as soon as I saw the score, but hoped the cyberspace chant would help.

Also, hate to be sexist, but I really don't like all female broadcast crews for men's games.

You know what, I totally agree... I turned this game off at the start of it just because of that - glad someone else feels the same way.

I've never understood that. I can see people struggling with Haute, but no, if they struggle it's always with Terre.

Stupid Bama and Ole Miss just went double OT in an awful game. :censored:
