Just tried....I think you have me blocked--probably from the Lansing days LOL.
I drove by Bob Warn Field on Tuesday. The bleachers on the 3rd base line were still there. I thought maybe we couldn't host the Super Regionals because they were going to need those bleachers somewhere else for Special Olympics, but I guess that wasn't it either.
Naaa I don't have you blocked. Don't think I ever have. I sent you a DM no problem.
Do you desire to run off the few local fans we have? To my knowledge he is the only person in this board who did not graduate from ISU. Yet, you give him a hard time. It would probably be easier for him to cheer for a different college but he seems pretty loyal to his hometown team. I think he has earned the right to say we.
The real impact would be if you could get both the alumni board AND faculty senate to bind together. Is there any interaction between the two bodies?
I'm surprised you have any friends if you try to tick them off as much as you do the people on this FAN FORUM.Run off? When any of my friends run their pie holes using "we, us, etc" when they're "living vicariously through their beloved Cardinals/Reds/Cubs/Astros/Titans, etc" I give them a hard time as well. If SSoM wants to ramble about his running days for the Trees, so be it - he ran for the Trees.
How many other have suited up for the Trees? Damn few on this board.
And he DOES cheer for other college teams - he's OPENLY cheered the move of ISU-E joining the OVC, he's OPENLY advocated on COUNTLESS occasions he's love of the OVC, how the Trees are in DESPERATE need to MOVE to the OVC and how much he loves him some EIU Panthers, so, he sounds quite like so many other "hometown" fans.

A one hour drive to Charleston is nothing compared to the 8-10 hours of driving I do almost every day truck driving. For football it appears that I'm going to be able to make three ISU home games and one EIU home game this upcoming season. For basketball I might make the drive to EIU around three times a season, and then for baseball I rarely ever go over there because I just come home when ISU has a home weekend series. So anymore it's like 5 trips over there max annually.I say we and i dont even like baseball that much. I doubt many ISU fans dont also have another team they root for. If a person likes live sports and lives in TH, EIU isnt that bad of a drive. personall I wouldnt drive across town to watch EIU sports....even when my brother in law was playing. Maybe Id watch if they were playing womens soccer in my back yard.
Edit: They have a beach volleyball team now so maybe Im gonna watch some of those.
