So back to my question...the Alumni Board won't be taking any action on anything regarding enrollment, the Super Regional fiasco, or anything else it seems?

So back to my question...the Alumni Board won't be taking any action on anything regarding enrollment, the Super Regional fiasco, or anything else it seems?

I personally requested the e-mail of every BOT member and I was going to send them an e-mail on my own behalf as an alum, former athlete, donor, season ticket holder and member of the Alumni Association Board. By the way - I never received the information I requested so nothing has been done.

Will the Alumni Association Board be taking a collective action? Not that I have heard or even considered a possibility. While my initial reaction is that we would have nothing to lose - I also sort of feel like it's not really my role as an Alumni Association Board member. This is exactly the sort of reason that you are appointed to the BOT... If the BOT which actually has authority and voting power isn't going to act - how you can you expect anyone else to act?! That just seems backwards to me.

Here's the list of Board Members; https://www.indstate.edu/alumni/about/alumni-board/overview

Looks like there's only one public contact method -- I'd venture that no board member will give you a 'private' answer to your question... NOR reveal if/when the Alumni Board will/won't "take action"

The Alumni Assoc. Board's charter is:

Alumni Association Board members attend the meetings of the Board, serve on committees of the Board, and support the activities of the Board, Indiana State University and the Indiana State University Foundation. The Alumni Association Board members promote a positive working relationship between Indiana State University and its former students.

Has the AAB been FLOODED with demands such as yours?

Reach out to Clint Weddle or Rhiannon Cruse -- they may be more willing to get you the answer you seek

It was the Faculty Senate that did a No Confidence resolution on Benjamin. They have no power over him but it sent a message. Wondering if the Alumni Board should do the same….

Alumni Association is lemonaide drinkers on the front porch. "Well the house is on fire but it's supposed to rain tomorrow, so we should be good".

A.P. Fort Worth TX- TCU has named 2nd baseman Tre Richardson MVP. Head Coach Kirk Saarloos stated "It was a close call between Richardson and Indiana State University President Deborah Curtis. Having home field advantage in Super Regionals was wonderful. Lets face it our Alumni are a custom to a certain level of sophistication, Embassy Suite and Marriott's etc. They wouldn't have felt comfortable in a town with no Mercedes dealership. She really put in the extra work for TCU'.

Please refrain of the use of "we," you're not now nor a past alumnus of ISU or the Sycamore baseball team.
You ought to be thanking me. There wouldn't be a thousand butts in the seats at an ISU basketball game if it wasn't for local people like me that support ISU. I also have a few credits from ISU so technically I am an alumnus.

Thank you for?

Congrats on completing that course.

Become a life member of the Alumni Association and FWIW, how many 'I's did you earn for the Sycamores?

Do you desire to run off the few local fans we have? To my knowledge he is the only person in this board who did not graduate from ISU. Yet, you give him a hard time. It would probably be easier for him to cheer for a different college but he seems pretty loyal to his hometown team. I think he has earned the right to say we.

Now back to our regular scheduled program. If we could get a couple hundred people walking around Memorial Stadium at homecoming wearing Fire Curtis tee shirts do you think that could swing the pendulum?

No... Because the people that make the decision on her future aren't going to be in attendance - Indiana State is out-of-sight and out-of-mind until they have to attend a meeting then back to real life.

You basically just had a couple hundred people saying this and more on social media over the last 2 weeks and nothing happened. I'd say the public outcry on social media is going to have a much greater reach than a couple hundred people at Memorial Stadium.

If 200 have shirts on then they will be protesting to an audience of 100... Yay.

Not to be that “actually…” guy but the BOTs do meet every year in Terre Haute on homecoming and attend homecoming events. They’re scheduled again this year.

A fair point... I think the intent is to have the meeting so that they can also attend homecoming. I'm not sure how many of them actual do attend - it probably wouldn't be fair for me to speculate on that.

Should it really have to come to t-shirts. That would be the most Indiana State thing ever - we're going to ignore enrollment dropping, ignore fiscal issues, ignore super regional mistake and backlash... But those t-shirts we will not ignore that!! We must act now.
