Indiana State has Shakir Bell who has been recently called the best running back in the nation...Western Illinois is giving up 227 yards rushing PER GAME

Will be interesting to see that matchup. We're going to have a target on our backs now. Everyone will bring their "A" game against us. We'll have to step up and show what we've got.

On paper, Bell should have a field day!!!
 
They overwhelmed us last year in the rain and the mud. I know they lost some good players, but I wouldn't count them out. I wouldn't count out any MVC team really.

True. I hope everyone realizes this could be a very close game. I fear many think it will be a blow out and will be disappointed if it isn't. I could see playing a very good game, getting the W and having disappointed fans that don't come back just because we didn't live up to their ridiculous expectations.
 
Remember, this is a team that beat us 40 something to 7 last year. They did not lose all of their starters, and they have a new QB who is playing very well. We need to play our A game to come out with a win, which I'm confident that we will do.
 
I am going to stick with my prediction which is displayed on page 1 if anyone would like to see it. If that ISU defense from the UNI game shows up and our usual offense shows up, this won't even be a game.

I don't think it will be blowout but I feel good about a win. Wiu is tough and have some very good players. Last year was a fluke and miles even said it. Don't know if the woukd have beat us or not last year but what proved it was a fluke to me was because the won by that much. Sorry. Even if they beat us they woukdnt have killed us. Our guys are all back this year and I know they are out for revenge.
 
I also can't help to think that the uni game could have gone either way. They won't have two Buchanan award watch members on their d. I feel good about personell matchups but at the same time. It is never wise to look over any opponent especially in the mvfc

ISU just scored after a fumble recovery. PAT no good, yikes.
 
Hoping the crowd went into the stadium so our players get the great attendance they deserve.

Team looks good overall. Only TD for Western off a muffed punt return. Crowd looks great. People all the way to the corners at the top. Not butt to butt...still an awesome crowd. D playing well. Some unlucky drops for Fouch.
