"I'm sorry. Forgot no criticizing here. GOOD TRIES!!!!:"

Saying we need a kicker that can hit at least 50% on extra points isn't criticizing

just got back. i'd say the crowd was around 11,000. it's hard to say because theres nothing to compare too, but it was well over 10,000 i thought.

Great game. Balanced offensive effort, several big defensive stops. Never did hear the attendance announced.

I was at the game and was totally convinced there were over 10,000, but Golden blogged attendance was 8255?? WTH?? The place was packed, even the far side sections had alot of people in them, I am baffled by that count?

regardless, great game, great atmosphere, and another BIG win on homecoming. WIU was no fluke, they were right with us until Bell went nuts on them. The guy can't be stopped.

next week is gonna be tough at ILS, they destroyed a good South Dakota team today at ILS.

great to see everyone today!

Is it possible it looked like 10k+ because folks were more spread out in the seats? Whatever the reason, glad we had a great showing by the fans and team!

Since the students get in at no cost, how do they determine the number of students in attendance? Back in the 60's we just showed our id and walked in. I'm guessing that has changed???

I think ISU has a good football team. However I don't understand why ISU is ranked.

ISU has no signature wins. None of ISU's wins are against teams with winning records. Actually if ISU beats WIU this Saturday that will be ISU's best win. That aint saying much.

Still feel this way?

They scan I.D.'s now. So they are tallied as each student's card is swiped.

They are ranked simply on the fact that they have the best freaking running back in the nation right now. You put Bell on any BCS team and he's going to do the same thing behind a quality O-Line. People get paid a lot of money to not miss out on kids like this and people totally missed out, except Indiana State - he was in our own back yard and we got the best back in the country through 6 weeks of the season. I'd put Bell up against anyone so far - they stacked the box in the first half to not allow him to run, fine we go to the air with a pretty solid passing attack. Why are we ranked? Because we can put points up on anyone and will continue to do so. Furthermore, if Bell doesn't get taken out of UNI game we more than likely go on to win that game and he would have rushed for over 250 on emm.

I have to agree that 8255 seems low. I am not questioning the count as the school has no reason to lower the number, but am just surprised. I stood up at one point and looked at the upper corners of the stadium and they were even close to full.

I know I have not been to as many games as several others, but this was by far the largest crowd I personally have seen at an ISU game. Really thought it would be closer to 10k.

Oh well, it was still a great crowd, great weather and a great win.

FYI: Thank the good Lord we have someone like Austin who can come in to cover for the kicker thats trying to play with a torn groin, not that could possibly affect the kicking game. And I promise you, he and I can take anything you put on this site, so criticize away.
