That would be a best case scenario. ISU rarely does best case scenarios...

I would say it's a long shot now but us Pikes are a little Biased in who should lead ISU. Good man and I hope at least his name gets mentioned in the conversation.I assume you guys are talking about Ed?
The last thing we need is her to be on call with donors.she will be available to assist with activities relating to the transition of the presidency and to call on donors, as reasonably requested by ISU
Notable because you’ve heard he is a candidate, because you’ve heard he is a front runner, or because you are connecting the dots and seeing someone who could potentially be a candidate looking for other opportunities?Notable.
Utah Tech president Richard ‘Biff’ Williams stepping down to pursue other opportunities
Williams, who led the university for nearly a decade, is the Utah System of Higher Education’s longest tenured president.www.deseret.com
Just looked him up. Didn’t realize he had local and ISU connections until you noted it. Seems like a really solid candidate. He’s definitely in play. Sounds like he might be interviewing multiple places but I’ve known since early on both parties had mutual interest.
Not knowing names of any other candidates at this time - I think Biff would be a good hire. Worked with him some when I was much younger and working at Union Hospital at the time. Was always impressed by him then - very nice, very approachable. Having been here before he’s got connections here - he should have the upper hand as he knows the issues. For example, I know he knows a decision is going to have to be made about football. Unless you are a candidate that’s put in a good deal of homework - I’m not sure you would be prepared with a great answer on what to do with football. Just one example.
What are his ISU connections?I've heard the USI presidents name in brief...but I've heard about Biff from about 10 different people
He got a masters from ISU and was Provost for a while around a decade ago if I remember correctly. Further reading....What are his ISU connections?
Have no knowledge of other candidates, but I think he'd be a great selection. Love the fact that he knows State first hand and has previously served in upper administration. One of my coworkers at ISU financial aid was also from Utah, was tight with Biff and introduced me to him. Seemed like a nice guy, pretty ambitious. Hope he or whoever can get our enrollment back up to where Utah Tech's is......He’s definitely in play. Sounds like he might be interviewing multiple places but I’ve known since early on both parties had mutual interest.

Why does that matter? Thinking we have to find someone with an ISU or Indiana connection is a mistake we make too often from coaches to administrators. I'd be hunting for a candidate who has shown success raising funds, increasing student enrollment and overall improving and strengthening the reputation of a school similar to Indiana State. What are his ISU connections?
Sounds pretty close to the write up’s on Biff.I'd be hunting for a candidate who has shown success raising funds, increasing student enrollment and overall improving and strengthening the reputation of a school similar to Indiana State.
Settle down. I wasn't saying he had to have an ISU connection. Several people commented on his connection and I was just curious as to what that connection was.Why does that matter?
