Couple questions
1) Any chance Chambers plays QB vs Ball State ?
2) Any TV coverage of the Ball State game -- is on ESPN+/ESPN3 or ...........?

1) I hope so or else we don't have a chance. Hopefully if / when he comes back the playbook opens up a little more like it seemed to do last year. I don't think the coaching staff has much faith in either Screws or Olaes to throw the ball around. Seems like they've gone with Olaes last week since he's more of a runner.

2) The game is on ESPN+. Looks like every other MVFC team is also on ESPN+ except for UND who plays at Boise on FS1.

I'll go ahead and just use this thread as this week's game thread. Not sure exactly what to make of Ball State. They lost to Kentucky 44-14 during week 1 and to Georgia last weekend 45-3.

Kentucky really struggled with EKU last weekend. It was 7-7 at halftime, and UK only won 28-17. By comparison UK led Ball State 23-7 at halftime. That makes me think that Ball State isn't all that good. EKU also lost to Cincinnati 66-13 the weekend before.

Before I get carried away here, we still haven't scored a single offensive point this season, and I don't think we will win, but I am hopeful we can at least make this a somewhat competitive game.

Only will be competitive if Chambers plays. Our backups could only lead us to a win if we're playing the worst team(s) in the MVFC -- and that might be stretching it.
I'm a fan and a supporter, but its really getting time for some extremely difficult decisions -- about Mallory and the program in general. By the time we get to another home game in early October we might only have a few hundred fans in the stands -- how many of those would be students ???
I'd at least consider driving over to Muncie if I knew Chambers was playing, otherwise I'll just check the score a couple of times.

This game won’t be competitive, why are some folks delusional. We can’t compete w bottom D2 schools.

has anyone noticed the past 2 weeks, the day before, and the day of the football games there is literally nothing on gosycamores.com about the game, the preview articles are buried deep in the archives. You go to any other college sports teamss website that has football and their game stories are front and center, usually with a page advertising the game that pops up when you click on said schools' athletic site. It truly is disappointing how far off the radar football has fallen

having said that, here's hoping they open the playbook tomorrow and get away from that vanilla offense they've been running and score at least 3 offensive points.

Owens seems to be playing pretty decent.

Ball State sucks but Sycamores totally inept on offense. How many years does Mallory need to bring in a respectable QB and create an offense. All MVCF teams have a good QB but ISU very inefficient there season after season. Chambers being on the sideline doesn't help but seriously doubt what he can do anyway.

I came to B-dubs to watch Notre Dame, but it's not on and I have the ISU shit show in front of me. It's taking away my appetite!!!

Luke did jack squat with the website and nothing with the team during the football season beyond broadcast. Go follow Southern if you want to whine about him.
You think he didn't do much? Yeah, they'll replace him with someone better... not very familiar with ISU, are you? :ROFLMAO:
