Yes...

And for Indiana State the only place you can live right now is "C" Tap Out! You have two choices in Option C, One you can quit pretending to be something you are not - a basketball school. Go win in baseball and track and field be who you are. Or you can cut the football program entirely or move it to non-scholarship and try and fully invest all resources into basketball and quit pretending.

Option B is not the way forward - the top 10 donors at Indiana State don't have 5 more years left in them especially at the current ROI they are seeing. The reality is that Indiana State doesn't even need 10 or 20 like the tweet suggests. Indiana State needs to get its top 3 engaged at the level necessary to compete and we don't even have that.

And Option A is probably the most intriguing but again back to "C"... If you can't make big boy decisions around football then selling your basketball program to PE or whomever is probably not on the table. Wonder what the valuation is on Indiana State's basketball program right now? We could come together and make them an offer they cant refuse....

Hope the Prez & AD agree.

I'll be disappointed if nothing changes soon. If I was in the 'for isu football' camp, I'd be for non-scholarship football, probably the most likely way to keep a football team, IMO.

I think they’re in agreement with themselves. I’m not sure they’re in agreement with me… ha.

1. They know something needs to be done with football but doing away with it entirely is not on the table.

- I think moving non-scholarship is a is our only hope. The reality is, enrollment is a key factor as is some hesitation to put “terminated Indiana State football program” on their resumes.

2. We need a few big donors to step up to the plate or it’s not going to matter what we do with football. You could do away with football or move non scholarship - not get those commitments and we’re going to be in the same spot.

3. Basketball could help out by winning some games… That would be helpful.

The same people who helped break college basketball now want to help fix college basketball… These P5 coaches, AD’s and Presidents allowed it to happen and now they want to put a stop to it. Honestly, fuck every last one of them and Jay Bilias I will never watch college game day again in my life as long as that moron is on tv.

Funny, now that it's putting a hurt on them, they seem to care. It is mind boggling to me why these ass hats ever thought this would be a good idea. NIL, in it's unadulterated, simple form would be okay.....not crazy about it, but could deal with it. This nonsense that hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of scholarships, meals, gear, travel, special tutoring, access to top medical treatment, nutrition etc... isn't enough is bull$#!%. These players get far more than any other student on scholarship gets on campus and its not even close. These clowns like Bilas and P5 coaches and brass have helped create a rapidly deteriorating college model, especially from a fan and donor perspective. There was zero foresight on this and now its rearing it's ugly head. I hope they all have to suffer for what they've done to the college game. But somehow it won't be them, it will be all the little guys, like always.

I will cut Cal some slack as football has pretty much been the entire driver of this nonsense and the basketball folks have been largely ignored. However, these dipshits should have seen this coming and should have spoken up more.

It still blows my mind that they let football have so much control when the money sits outside of the NCAA. It's just absolutely wild how naïve, clueless, or just downright stupid the lot of these Presidents and ADs are.
