But is he overrated?? Do Sycamore fans beat the dead horse on us not even making an attempt at him?
It's not the point, but I aint going to dwell on it for the next 3 years either.
No, I don't think he's overrated. He's a freshman.

Again, not the point. Not to take anything from him, but I really like Scott and McIntosh.
Again, not the point.
Further, he would be one and two years ahead of them if you consider redshirts. Second, we landed Cummings who is essentially a point guard in that class. My issue is this kid was a national level recruit with Indiana State ties and that 2012 class consisted of Dawon Cummings, Rhett Smith, TJ Bell and Michael Sameuls. Would he have picked ISU? Don't know. But we didn't even put our hat into the ring.

Did not intend it to be the point and my point being to state my like for our two future recruits. Again our recruitment is get the best player we can who would consider coming to ISU in Terre Haute which restricts our recruiting, like the it or not.
Keep drilling it home, drill it home. Something tells me you won't get out of it what your putting in.
Again, not the point. His recruitment is long gone.
Point being is someone was asleep at the wheel during the 2012 recruiting cycle. We want to bitch about not winning and the crux of the matter is we've not recruited high level MVC-caliber players save for a few guys on the roster.
Clarification are you saying we are not trying to recruit at the highest level?
I really would like to stop hearing excuses about having to "settle" for someone who would (lower themselves, presumably, to) consider ISU, and gulp, Terre Haute. Part of recruiting is selling your product. Every time I hear that we are restricted by ISU and Terre Haute, it makes me wonder who has the bad image in mind, the kids or the staff? I'm not sure exactly how bad ISU and Terre Haute are, but it sounds like we might have an inferiority complex. And that would be bad. Very, very bad.
Terre Haute and ISU should be a strength, not a hindrance. If it's not being used as a strength, we need to get some help in figuring out how to sell it that way. Funny how the admissions office isn't having any trouble selling ISU and Terre Haute, but some on this board feel that we should be ashamed of it. That's a load of crap.
I'm done. I'm getting more and more angry as I type...
Couldn't have said it better myself. If our coaches are making excuses for reasons why they can't recruit than they should be shown the door.
Has anyone n noticed the numbers he's putting up so far?
