Chris Jans hired at Mississippi State. Would have rather seen him go to KState but not surprised a bigger school finally snatched him up.

According to the Murray State board, Matt McMahon interviewed today for the LSU job. So the Racers may be looking for a coach very shortly.

I guess it’s hard to turn down seven figure paydays, but he’d be taking over a program going on serious probation. I can think of better situations to go to…

NCAA "serious probation?" Come on now, ITF...would that be like the 5-game suspension given to MI Coach Howard for throwing a cheap shot in the "handshake line" post-game on NATIONAL TV?

Are you mocking the suspension that Howard received or saying Howard's infraction and Wade's alleged infractions are equivalent?

I think what he is saying is that there is no such thing as serious probation anymore in college athletics. No one gets in trouble. The NCAA enforcement of penalties is a joke and very few schools get any type of penalty that they cannot easily overcome.

It seems these days the NCAA forgives you if you get rid of the coach. College basketball is all about making the NCAA money, and for the most part that involves keeping the P5 leagues and their schools happy.

look at the treatment of the Cleveland St program, mid-80s era vice what happened, didn't happen at UK
