I will say that our basketball team's record with LB in attendance in the past 30 years is not spectacular.
But....
We gonna win this game.
SSOM, take a Polaroid of our statue and tape it on their statue.

And then they arrest me for defacing public art or some shit… Didn’t you suggest I wear Michigan State colors and throw a hotdog onto the floor in hopes of drawing a technical foul on MSU?

Why don’t you just say - SSOM please get arrested? 🤣

Here is my problem with Bird not supporting/ helping the team or at the very least showing up to this game or another each year. If it wasn't for ISU and Bill Hodges his ass would STILL be on a trash truck in Frenchlick remembering the good ol' days at Springs Valley making $30K a year instead of being a millionaire living the good life. He can show up to Pacer's games 60 miles down the road but not here. WHY? This game is likely the biggest ISU game with reference to him since he played the championship game in 79 and he can't be bothered???? That truly is sad, it really is! I guess he really is the self-centered Dick a lot of people says he is if he can't get behind what HCJS and this team is building and accomplishing. I will get off my soapbox rant and not take it further.

Two things:
1) Wondering how many tickets ISU sold for the game -- how many ISU fans we hope to have in the building ?

2) I'll be there myself and wondering if there is any particular bar/restaurant near the MSU arena where we could gather a couple hours before game time ?

Any ideas ???

I know quite a few ISU fans making the trip. Just off the top of my head I can name around 20 people I know going. So yeah - I think it should be a decent ISU turnout for a 5 hour road trip for most.

Would be nice to have a breakout game from Aaron Gray. He was a starter at Niagara and averaged double figures so I think he's capable. They played against some decent competition. Hopefully our defensive effort and rebounding are up to par in this one.

I have one extra ticket to the game in Section 219 if anyone is interested.

There's been a change in plans and my wife is able to make the road trip. With her being able to go I had to buy two more tickets, plus it gave me a reason to upgrade seats.

The day is almost here, so some talk about the actual game. Although MSU has a little more depth than us, I think this is a pretty good match up for us.

They have 3 really good guards and we obviously do too. We do a good job of switching, but really need to limit Walker. He’s going to get his, but can’t let him beat us from deep. Hoggard is a really good passer and is a load…will be interesting to see Conwell on him. Hoping we can get off to a fast start and push the tempo.
Hall will be J Kent’s toughest matchup cutting to the rim.
Robbie vs. Sissoko will be one to watch. Robbie keeping him out of the paint and stretching the floor from 3 will be key.
Gotta stay out of early foul trouble as they have a ton of front court depth.

It goes without being said, but a victory here could go a long way towards a potential at-large bid. It affords us a slip up in a conference game and solidifies our resume with a possibly our only opportunity at a Quad 1 win if Drake slips.

You’re right and I agree with you !!

EAST LANSING, Ind. - Indiana State men's basketball heads to East Lansing for the long-waited rematch of the 1979 National Championship rematch. The game tips on Fox Sports 1 at 2 p.m. ET and can also be found on radio on 105.5 The Legend.

Yep...I figure a win here affords us a loss in the championship game in St Louis...as long as we don't lose more than 3 conference games....

“They go back door better than anyteam I’ve ever played against” (coached against Tom) but we appreciate the sentiment - now let’s execute at a really high level and prove him right! High praise from one of the best to ever do it.

Very interesting 14:40 - I don't follow Michigan St. don't know much about them. But given that these guys clearly do and they mention one of Michigan State's weaknesses is PF/C position and that is one of Indiana State's strengths. Why that's interesting? Going against a B10 P5 team one would typically worry about athletic ability and length at the PF/C position limiting our ability to score at the rim, limiting Robbie's ability to score in a variety of ways and also what happens if he gets in foul trouble?! Maybe - doesn't sound like a huge concern.

They do go on to say that this could be a breakout game for the big men... We will see.
