He drove to the bucket and took an elbow to the jaw. He came back in late in the first half but since it hasn't been close, I think we just opted to sit him the 2nd half since we have important games coming up.

Great contributions from the bench today with Gibson pouring in 17 and Bledson giving us a very efficient 12 and 4.
It wasn’t our best offensive game but we still managed to put up 80 while playing solid defense down the stretch with great rebounding.
The rebounding may be the biggest surprise for me as the season goes on. I can’t recall the last game we were beat on the glass…at least not in this winning streak.

ILState tried to muck that game up as much as they could… They were pretty physical with us throughout.
I thought it was a pretty poorly officiated game both ways. I wouldn’t really be too happy with that whistle if I was an ILState fan. We’ve been on the wrong end of enough poorly officiated games so I don’t feel too bad.

I think that is going to be a hallmark for their program moving forward. You hire a Big Ten assistant, you're going to get physical Big Ten style ball. They have some pretty good players in their current recruiting class so I look for them to bounce back pretty quickly. I like their wing Pence that is coming and that 6'9" "330" pound big they have coming in is going to be interesting. He's 330 pounds the way they don't give guys an extra two inches in the media guides -- he looks every bit of 350 and a LOAD in HS so if he can have any sort of fitness, he probably will be a dump and clear guy.

We were looking ahead. It’s nice to feel like we played poorly and we won by 16. Different from the past.
I think coach played odd lineups today in hopes to build confidence going into Arch Madness, who knows, but just a guess. Avila sits on the bench a LOT
Agree but the last couple games have felt a little "load managementy" and we could get away with based on who we played. Same with sitting Cam the entire 2nd half today. Had we lost, we could have a gripe but if the guys have fresh legs when it matters, I'd prefer that.
