I wonder what Travis Ford would say about working for Chaifetz? You work for them not the University. Let’s not forget he had them dancing not long ago and he got canned. Also if you look at how they felt about him in the past this whole thing could be a flash in the pan.

You know it’s funny… This guy has been deceptive as shit and ya all gonna read a statement and really just buy into his bull shit again?!

I’m sorry - him not mentioning Curtis is calculated. He knows ya all gonna read that and say “yep that was the issue”… Again, takes the heat off him. Or he would have mentioned her. Or not released a massive statement thanking literally everyone.

Trust this guy at your own risk. He lost my trust.

His final statement was 11 paragraphs long. Guy was barely here 3 years and had one successful year.

He talks too much. Trying to defend himself in his outgoing statement - I can’t help you coach! If you wanted the LMU love on the way out just be honest with people.

If you’re conflicted on this ask yourself this… All things equal JS gets a call one day from his agent and he says, you have an offer from ISU, SLU and Louisville (3 hours from LMU) which one you want?! Give me a break.

We fired 2 coaches that got us to the tournament. Not sure about the first guy

I'm starting to have to agree with SSOM. J$ completely over played his hand. Is someone really turning down Louisville for SLU?? He totally agreed in principal with SLU very early and had zero wiggle room to do anything else! I know there are all kinds of behind the scene conversations going on that the general public probably doesn't need to know, but this whole process has played out poorly from J$ side of things. It's disappointing because he led a bunch of people on, in thinking that he truly hadn't made a decision or agreed to anything. At the end of the day I am an ISU Alum and a proud graduate, so I say this in the nicest way possible....We want a coach, who WANTS to be a Sycamore! If you don't, get the fuck out! March On!

ISU MBB Coaches that led Trees to NCAA Div I tourney?

All were relieved, not sure any had time remaining on their contract, thinking the Univ went in a different direction at the end of the contract

Maybe so but keep in mind, right now, the Louisville program looks like this:

Even with the A-10 being a lateral move conference-wise, SLU is not a sh*t-a-fire

Last year was successful. This year was historic. Hate him leaving all you want but ISU basketball hasn’t had many coaches have winning seasons (13) in my lifetime 1980. He had two of them in three years at the school. He was great for ISU and the community. We all wish it was for a longer period of time.

All of what you posted is fact. It's actually very insulting that "dude" would think that his true motives would not get out and he could just ride off into the sunset with nobody knowing the truth..dude wanted out of ISU, dude signed an MOU b4 march madness at SLU, dude then lobbied to get bigger jobs the whole time and actually had L'ville but SLU lawyers weren't having it, dude regrettably had to turn that job down bc he didn't want to pay the buyout, and then dude goes to SLU after the NIT...all the while dude led ISU donors and adm. to believe none of that was true and there was a chance he'd return... kids...don't be a dude

Still can’t believe we believed he was making efforts to “run it back”, but somehow 15 minutes after the game, it was reported he had acceptedthe SLU job. How did this happen if he was being honest?!

I'm probably wrong, but I figured he either A) turned down the Louisville job because of the death threats his pal Dusty May supposedly received or B) Louisville didn't want want him after they discovered he made those remarks.

Breaking news: “sources” say Kentucky is interested in SLUs Josh Schertz. After John Calipari leaves Kentucky for Arkansas.

(Joking) but Kentucky just lost their coach because of “a larger NIL budget” guess it could happen to anyone. Problem is I think 75% of the fan bas at Kentucky wanted him gone….

Just read on Bilikin forum from Stu Durando, that coach Schertz expects to have 6 or 7 recruits on campus in the next 10 days. I just got a feeling he's bringing at least 3 of our guys
