You keep bringing up Trumps morals but you just brush aside Kamala's morals. When she was 29 years old she was sleeping with a 69 year old man(Willie Brown).
he was 59-60, not 69.

she was single - correct? poor, POOR decision to have an affair with a married man BUT if the "GOPers" won't hold Trump accountable for his MULTITUDE of affairs... why are they holding this one against her?

affairs are affairs.

The National debt and the way our elected officials spend money scares the hell out of me for my grandchildren.
Our most catastrophic problem and all they can talk about is the climate change hoax and the Supreme Court.
you're lumping Trump into that group of elected officials and spending money - correct?

the Supreme Court... the one that just decided Presidents are immune? You know that includes Biden right? and future Presidents - right?

I wish the DNC allowed a fair Dem primary in 2024, instead of rigging it for Biden. Good chance RFK Jr. wins (imo), & it would be Trump vs. RFK Jr. This would at least provide America with two substantive policy candidates.

I would still lean Trump, but would have gladly given RFK Jr. due consideration.

IF RFK Jr's own siblings, his own MOTHER won't for him (and they won't), why on earth would you?

I agree with the nuclear stuff. Even if we do have climate change, is it bad? The problem with the activists is they want to spend trillions of dollars to "lower the temperature" 1 or 2 degrees in 50 years and that assumes that the other countries do the same.
I believe in green energy determined by the market. The gov can't afford to do subsidies.

So, you're opposed to the billons of subsidies for oil, gas and coal companies, correct?

You can believe that but he is a business man and a manager and he got things done the last time. He could have done more if Obama's people hadn't gotten in his way. Note: Russiagate and an impeachment, etc. Obama had 8 years to appoint thousands in all of the agencies.
I have heard that the CIA runs DC. We have to get rid of the deep state if we are going to stay free.

The CIA?! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

EVERYONE knows The Pentaverate runs DC... they run the WORLD!!!!

The Rothchilds...
The Gettys...
The Pope...
The Queen...
and The Colonel... Ooooh, how I hate the Colonel... with his wee beady eyes... he puts something in his chicken that makes me crave it NIGHTLY!

Thanks. I guess I'm going to consider who I want running our country. He's not as conservative as I am, but the Dems have gone off the cliff with the sex changes in schools, abortion, men in women's sports, etc.
We need someone that can drain the swamp.
This article might be legit, but I've seen what dems, dem lawyers and dem money can do to attack him. It's painfully obvious what they will do to defeat him. I'm still not sure if they are going to put him in prison.
I wouldn't believe anything in USA today without corroboration.

Look what the dem money did to Kavanaugh. Not to mention all of the other lies they told about Trump in 2016 and on. They gave Mueller $30 million to get anything on him and they got nothing. He is the most investigated President in history.
Even CNN and MSNBC couldn't find anything on him.

I just wish you would do the research so you would know the facts. I read multiple sources every day and keep up on every move by all of the politicians.
Go ahead and believe what you want if that makes you happy, but you shouldn't repeat fake news.

He PUBLICLY mocked a disabled reporter, he insulted John McCain - BOTH FROM THE CAMPAIGN stage, will you at LEAST admit he did both? Both acts are EASY TO VERIFY.

Yes, it is bad. Unsolved, it will make less of the planet hospitable which means people will ultimately have to seek new places to set up homestead. If we push people inward, we then will have new issues like farmland and natural resource loss. Depending on what areas become uninhabitable, you could see regional wildlife extinction. I'm a firm believer that all wildlife was put here to self regulate the planet -- ever watched the documentary on wolves and Yellowstone, for example? All of this sort of shit can also drive poverty. It's not just about things being a little hotter.

In any event, nuclear is expensive. However, investment in it to push innovation will have the collateral benefit of being able to lower reliance on fossil fuels and thus helping resolve the climate change issues. That's a win-win and one of the reasons I've become so pro nuclear in the last couple years.

it's already occurring... more places becoming un-inhabitable... it's part of the large number of migrants globally, much is economic - but part of that economic is they can no longer survive on subsistence farming as they have for decades, centuries

I will say I believe the hush money case to be an utter witch hunt as there have been other documented cases of this where they were given lesser charges.
It's worse than that. He was found guilty of campaign finance and NY does not have jurisdiction over that. And the defense did not know the crime until the closing arguments. And the jury did not have to be unanimous. They were given a multiple choice of 3 crimes and they only had to have a majority say he was guilty of "something."

Personally I'd like to see most things be a local or state issue. In my view that's the only way the United States will ever be "United" again. Making everything a federal issue in a country this large is just incredibly stupid. There's literally zero reason for me to trust any president or federal politician. I'm not sure I agree with our buddy meistro on too much locally, but at least I can stop by his office and talk to him if I want to. I'd rather him make decisions that affect me than someone from Delaware, New York, or California.

Another benefit of making more things local issues is that we have freedom of movement in the USA. If you don't like how your city or state does things, then you are allowed to move somewhere else. There's nothing dumber than being a hardcore Democrat in Oklahoma or a hardcore Republican in Massachusetts.

The major things I want from the federal government are for them to keep our country safe, to provide a strong currency with a stable economy, and to stay out of my life. In fact my favorite government is when the Senate is the opposite party of the president, that way there's a stalemate. That seems to be the only time that anything is ever stable. Anytime one party controls the presidency and the legislative branch it's always a complete disaster.

Man we've gone off the rails. Let's talk about something that will unite us.. like religion!!

I wasn't around yesterday so didn't see this thread until now - the Olympic topic flamed out pretty quickly... That's hilarious even for me.

Anyway, even before the disgraceful opening ceremonies - the Olympics really don't do much for me. I haven't watched a single minute of action - not really in boycott just not that interested. Like I am sorry but gymnastics is not interesting to me at all. I haven't cared to watch swimming too closely since Michael Phelps retired. I aint watching basketball - I don't even watch the NBA. I will probably watch some track & field as my schedule allows but I won't go out of my way and make time for it.

As for the political discussion in all of this - I get it for sure. For instance, I don't watch the NHL but a month or so ago I thought you know what I am going to watch Game 7 of the Stanley Cup... I turn it on and within minutes they've got a public service announcement live on the national broadcast that the NHL supports "Pride" or something like that. I thought F this - I didn't come on here to have this shit projected onto me. So I turned it off. Had I been watching the opening ceremonies I'd have done the same thing.

This reads as if you abhor the 14th Amendment, have zero desire for state reciprocity...

A simple reminder that the Articles of Confederation haven't been enforce since June 21st, 1788.

To the original question: No.
I enjoy most everything about the Olympics and what they stand for.

I personally really enjoyed the opening ceremonies - but I guess I like art and history (don't tell the 20 year old version of me!) I thought the Marie Antoinette portion was brilliant - and I loved all of the pageantry of the boats on The Seine - it felt like an old-school parade, with people sitting on their balconies and watching - it was awesome... The use of Arno (from Assassin's Creed - a game developed by a French company) to walk us (sorry, Parkour - another French reference) through the sites and surroundings of the city of Paris was brilliant - as well as necessary, so that the boats could dock, unload and get out of the way for other boats... I understood "the scene that set everyone off" to be an ohmage to historical Greece and their decadence ... and honestly, I thought the nod to the French's "minage a trois" would have set people off more than the Fashion Show on a big party table...

It's always amusing to me when people call others "snowflakes", etc... and then this kind of outrage occurs...

Just like the Constitution which gives the federal government very limited power.

No. He did not mock a disabled reporter for being disabled. He mocks a lot of ignorant reporters. I don't care whether he insulted McCain.

Besides, they are trying to throw him in jail and convicted him of a felony for a crime for which they did not have jurisdiction. If he was guilty of all the stuff the dems say, his abuse is many times worse.
Not to mention millions of dollars in fines for estimating the value his own real estate.

Sure Wiseman was going to say that, but they spent $30 million trying to find dirt on him. What did they find?
Besides, he did exonerate him from everything. His report did that.

In his Farewell Address, published in 1796, George Washington warned Americans about the dangers of political parties in a popularly elected government. Washington believed that party loyalty could weaken a nation, and that parties could distract governments from their duties, create divisions, and lead to violence. He also worried that parties could allow foreign nations to influence the government. Washington wrote, "I have already intimated to you the danger of Parties in the State, with particular reference to the founding of them on Geographical discriminations".

Reading some of the "The sky is NOT blue, the ocean is NOT made up of water" comments is amusing...and sad at the same time.

We will always have liberals and conservatives. The problem I see is that moderate Democrats are too quiet and have allowed their party to embrace the far left. Bill Maher is blasting the Dems all the time about the crazy "woke" stuff.
A professor testified in Congress that a man can have a baby.
Harris believes in equality of outcome.
The schools think they can teach gay sex to grade school kids.
etc.
