The rumor is Micah Schrewsberry and has been for several years. Are there any obvious candidates from Clinkscales’ time at either Purdue or NC State? Someone he could have lined up so it makes sense for him to let Lansing walk?

Jason, do you know where this rumor originated? The rumor is Micah Schrewsberry and has been for several years.
Nope, unfortunately I don't.Jason, do you know where this rumor originated?
Lutz would be very interesting - he seems to be the best of that group. But his age probably excludes him from consideration.
Lutz?? Gottfried has a better record and a higher level of play and is younger.
IF ISU has a new coach moving forward; grab someone with roots, ties to the Midwest and no one 60 and over need apply

Basketball coach Mark Gottfried involved in federal investigation
An FBI investigation requested personnel files from Gotffried’s previous school, North Carolina State.sundial.csun.edu
I dun think u ain't 2 smart Bucko ...........I recall reading that issue when he landed in California; that FBI investigation hasn't pushed too many coaches out
Perhaps you shouldn't have "spit-balled" Gottfried on your list.
Of the 4 "interesting candidates" you provided - Gottfried has the best on-court performance.
At this point, I still think ISU should retain Lansing; I doubt they will and if LaRavia and other left in that wake, I will not be shocked.
Congrats on worst take so farDon't count out a guy already on the bench. Kareem Richardson has head coaching experience.
Thanks. Glad to amuse you. I didn't mean to imply he's who I want, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't show interest in the job. WE CAN CERTAINLY DO BETTER!!!!!Congrats on worst take so far
Gibberish Much? Tomorrow, when you're sober, try and write something coherent and insightfulI dun think u ain't 2 smart Bucko ...........

I know it won't happen, but I'd consider Jake Odum. I know he doesn't have much experience but he brings a passion and energy you're not going to find in many other candidates. Should be a strong recruiter and be able to keep some of the current players. We need to give someone young a shot. We need to take a bit of a gamble with the next hire. Not play it safe and get someone who will just be a caretaker.
Odum?
He's 30 - Far. Too. Young.
Let him run a HS or JC program for a few years
I get that and maybe we can find another prospect with the energy and passion needed for a really tough job, but I'd really like it to be a first time HC. I don't want a guy who has already been through the ringer a few times and comes in like it's just another job.
