This is a HUGE game for ISU.
Can we ride the momentum from "the mirracle in Bloomington/Normal"?
The table is set for us to have a strong finish. What is going to happen?
well, what happens in Des Moines tonight? I predict the same thing we've seen lately, ISU jumps out to a lead, goes into the half w/ a lead, comes out with a big scoring drought in the 2nd half at some point, Drake takes the lead, ISU panics and starts turning the ball over left and right and...
ISU's women are trying to duplicate the debacle they produced against New Orleans a while back.
Currently at the half Drake is winning 17-14, yep fourteen whole points on 21% shooting for ISU in the 1st half. Definitely not a good way to begin MVC play. Hope the 2nd half is better.
They were beginning to be up in arms after their exhibitions but after Butler beat them last night in Des Moines they are going ballistic:

They really didn't expect to go from the penthouse to the outhouse in one season and who can blame them?
Reece Uhlenhopp - a 6'7" 225 pound forward - has verballed to play at Drake. The media reports indicate that he chose Drake over offers from Indiana State and Creighton. Marquette, St. Louis, and Missouri State had also "shown interest".

Heartbreaking loss to Western Kentucky 101-99. Miracle 3 pointer at the buzzer under a triple team. WKU absolutely unconscious from 3 range all game. Wow.
tourney time for the women. They play Friday night in Missouri. I wonder how many fans from each school will show??

might as well start this up. Be nice to see ISU compete in this one, no doubt they'll be tired. Let's hope they keep it respectable. I'll say DU by 10-15 points.
Someone do some research and find out the last time a team went 8-10 in MVC play and was the 8th seed??????
tough weekend for the women, at 6-8 in the MVC they need to win at least one of these next 2 games to have much hope of avoiding the play-in games at the MVC tourney. We'll see what happens at Drake tonight.
