You should watch some film. He is the highest ranked player to come out of the wabash valley in the last 35 years. He has a jump shot with pro elevation. He touches 11’8” off two feet. He also is gym rat with great IQ. He liked Lansing and likes Graves/Schertz. His dad is not being recruited by ISU, so I don’t know who he is distracting. He fits perfectly in CJS system but will take some time to master. Ask Jake Odum, Craig Porter and Jaylin Minnett about him…they played in the MVC and they know what JH can be….dismissing him as a local kid is just lazy and a mistake for true ISU fans.

In fact, CJS wouldn’t touch a local kid if he wasn’t a no brainer…this kid is

We aren’t the ones that need convinced. If CJS has offered him a second time around and Joey believes he can succeed in ISU Blue…sign him up.

I’ve seen Joey play several times and know he has the jump shot and athleticism to succeed in the MoVal. Biggest thing I saw was some games looked like he was waiting for the game to come to him. At the next level, you have to go get it for yourself.

Hope he makes the best decision for him to succeed and not just the “biggest” school that offers.
 
Man...I like the idea of Hart at ISU, but we really really need another big with that last Scholly. Do we think he wants to stay home bad enough to accept preferred walk on status? It's just so late in the game and we have so much depth at his position next year.

Zero chance of walking on here....visited Butler today, interest from Notre Dame and many others.

Butler is a weird visit if I'm being honest. If he is looking for a tempo system, that's not it. They have been on a straight path down ever since moving to the Big East. Bad conference fit that completely killed an awesome program that was built.

Assume style of play isn't a big concern of his.

Yeah, it could have just been the game I got to see. Unfortunately, I've been gone from Indiana since 2019 so I didn't get to see him live and Vegas doesn't get many Indiana teams rolling through since the shoe companies have now started doing their set schedules.

UAA finals are in Vegas this year, though Indiana only has one. D1 Indiana is UA Rise, so they may be there also.

Ya all do realize that none of this for Indiana State and likely others is this has NOTHING to do with Joey Hart the player and has EVERYTHING to do with the timing of his sudden availability and our current roster the way it’s constructed and a couple potential holes.

I’d hate to guess because it’s just that - but if he had been in the portal from day one he’d likely already have committed here or some place else. I’m not all the sudden Wow’d by the fact that Kentucky, Butler or any other high major might be in on him. Because it’s never been about his ability to play D1 basketball.

The "Big Boys" with BIG NIL money are involved. It is the world of college basketball
we will come to know all too well. I fear that 5 years from now, what we see now will be unrecognizable.
I can only hope to be wrong.

The big boys with big NIL money are involved on Joey Hart? Okay. Again good for him.

Who cares. Have you seen our roster makeup? What are we supposed to do? We can’t cut Cam Crawford again we already cut him and you guys had him plugged in as a starter. We kinda rich rich at the PG/SG/SF spot if ya hadn’t looked. Is what it is… We didn’t lose out because of NIL we lost out because either A his timing sucked or B he didn’t want to come here in the second place (first place already played out).

If Joey Hart is getting NIL money and we lose out on him because of that then #1 good for him and I will literally not shed a single tear even if he goes on to be the Player of the Year in the entire NCAA and #2 my 1 year old is getting up at 6 am (facts) and we’re practicing on the Fisher Price better believe it if Joey Hart is getting NIL.

BIG NIL MONEY 🤣

I do not disagree with your assessment. Good for him if he gets BIG NIL MONEY (as you so gracefully put it) and we probably could use
a big more than another SG. For me, the most important point is the potential harm done to the college game inflicted by the unrestricted NIL flood
and the purchase of players. Thanks for your response.....over and out on this one.

We agree on that buddy! It’s a god damn shame what has happened to this most glorious game. But it ain’t got nothing to do with Hart. NIL money or not.
