The only thing that I can think of to really get their attention is everyone quit donating money.

None of the people on the board of trustees care what anyone in town or any alumni think. They aren’t elected. They are appointed. Most (if not all) have very little relationship with the town or the school. No one who shows up at a meeting has any power over them. Money is about the only thing that they can’t sweep away. And now that they have voted to raise tuition and enrollment will decline even further, money is about to become a big problem.

Thanks to the leadership of Deb and the board of trustees we will be a community college soon.

With the exception of two, all BoT members are Alumni.

Their bios are available at: https://www.indstate.edu/about/administration/trustees/board-members

You want to get rid of them; get rid of the Gov - he appointed them based on their involvement as alumni, among other reasons.

Intercollegiate athletics can be important to a college, the college experience -- a good friend (College of Tech) grad, won't spend 5 minutes watching the Trees, has never given a nickel DIRECTLY to the Athl Dept yet he had spouse are working to endow a scholie and he mentors ~4-6 students annually from the College of Tech.

I've mentioned this SNAFU on the baseball tourney; he still hasn't shown a hint of interest

I'd venture the BoT is of the same mindset.

Just watch, unless something changes, we will be absorbed into the IU system within 10 years. IU-West.

Can’t get the 2023 Super back, Deb. It’s too late. Time to move on.

This is sad...look who the Sycs would've been paired with. Sorry Deb, not your Central Missouri or Illinois Stater's in these brackets. Such a BUSH League decision by someone paid to think much higher.

Here's a simple look via Warren Nolan:

I'll bite.

Why is voting with your wallet bad?

Do people have any other recourse? If so, what?
At this point, I don't think alumni and supporters of ISU have any other recourse to affect change. Sad, and if I'm wrong I'll gladly listen to what else the "little people" can do. But at this point, I'm not sure there's anything else that will make the BOT feel the pressure.

Is anyone else appreciating the sad humor and the extreme irony of the Saint Mary of the Woods president resigning this week?

Been president for 13 years, enrollment has increased by 30% since 2015 (when they went co-ed).

Hate to say it, but watching that video she is a strong speaker when her back is pinned against the wall. That confidence is enough to fool people (like on the board) who don't know any better.

Well, if you're going to make shit up, you had better sound convincing.

That makes her a good politician. But they typically aren’t much in the way of leaders.

Politicians are only good at pointing fingers and blame at others and deflecting attention off themselves at the right times.

Oranges and Apples

What's SMWC's current enrollment? 1,250? 1,500? Same size as TH North or South, no?
